Your paws skid on the dark ground. Mapleshade was training you to twist a cats head. You obviously didn't believe these cats were good. Some other warriors think otherwise.

"Get in the water." Mapleshade hissed. You shivered at the black water and immediately got knocked of your paws by the current. In a small stream like this, the current shouldn't be too strong.

Mapleshade splashed into the water too and grabbed you by your neck. You yelped and scratched her nose.

"Take a deep breath and hold. Try to get me off." Mapleshade said. You we're about to reply until your head submerged the water.

You squeezed your eyes shut and started to kick at Mapleshade's hind paws. The current under the water made pressure which hurt your ears. You did take a deep breath, but it was running out fast and so was your strength.

Your 'mentor's' paws were still pressing against your neck. You kicked harder at Mapleshade's paws, feeling them slide on the muddy ground under the stream. A flashback of you spinning in the river of RiverClan flashed through the bubbles of air.

You gathered your legs and pushed out of the water, knocking Mapleshade away. You stood up, gasping and coughing water.

"Argh!" Mapleshade growled and lunged for you. You were on the bank in a second with her jaws around your neck, bruising the bruises.

You struggled to breathe. It was harder because of the drowning thing and the growling of Mapleshade.

She let go after a few more seconds. "Eh, you could do better. Much better. I'll teach you how to swim."

You felt sickened at being here, in the Dark Forest.

"Warriors! Gather at the clearing now!" Tigerstar yowled.

You sped away from Mapleshade and bumped into another Dark Forest cat from the clans.

"Brakenfur!" You mewed. The name popped up in your head at the sight of the cat.

"Ap/n? What? How are you here? Where were you? The Clan was so worried-" Brakenfur said, shocked.

"RiverClan. I almost drowned in the river and lost some Clan cat knowledge. I'm ok." You said quickly. Brakenfur looked concerned.

"We shouldn't be here." Brakenfur mumbled.

"Yes you should." Tigerstar said loudly. You two stopped talking and shamefully listened to Tigerstar.

"You will come here every night you sleep. You are not to leave the Place of No Stars until I say so. And you must obey your mentor and train hard. And do not tell any other Clan cats about this. This place is specifically for you to be better and improve." Tigerstar said, his burning amber gaze sweeping over the crowed of cats.

"You may leave now; the sun is rising."

You felt yourself fading away from the Dark Forest. You opened your eyes with a jump and you were in the medicine cat den.

"Hello Ap/n. We're going to return you to your Clan today." Mothwing said. You were still blinking hard to get the images of the Forest out of your mind.

"Oh uh, great." You said.

"Here, you look like you have a headache." Mothwing gave you a leaf and left. You chewed on the herb while thinking. You saw Brakenfur, but you recognized no other cat. You felt exposed every night. No way you thought of would keep you away from the Dark Forest training. Maybe not sleeping, but you needed rest.

"Let's go through your Clan members before you go back. So they won't be surprised." Mothwing suggested. You grumbled and slowly listed off the cats in ThunderClan, adding a bit of history.
