Your POV

You and your patrol tread through the dark-ish forest. Ashfur, Brightheart, and Lionpaw did trust you, and that made you confident.

You raised your nose for some scent. No foxes, no badgers, no owls, no other clan cats.

"It really is peaceful." Ashfur said as the patrol stopped.

(A/n: the calm before the storm)

"Yeah. Which is good." You mewed back, looking at the dark pines far away.

The four cats listened to the forest. There wasn't even prey. It scared you a little. The quietness was unusual for a forest.

As you continued the patrol along the ShadowClan border, the sky darkened. Clouds were now formed. It didn't take long to catch the rain scent.

"Let's head back before we get soaked." You commented, stopping near the river. The patrol had walked all the way to RiverClan without trouble.

"Ok." Lionpaw said, turning his gaze away from the rushing river.

Your paws scuffed the long grass as you started a trot, but it changed into a run as the first droplets fell.

You saw a flash of silver beside you, but it disappeared. You peer into the forest, but whatever it was it was gone.

"W/n!" Ashfur called. The rain pounded harder on the ground, making you feel extremely wet and soggy.

"Hurry up." you said to them, running again. You made sure not to slip on the muddy spots or the wet grass.

The four arrived at camp. No cat was outside except for Brambleclaw and Firestar.

"Get to the medicine cat den." Brambleclaw yowled. He and Firestar were sitting under a nice spot under the Highrock.

You and everyone else (too lazy to say their names) went to the medicine cat den, where Jaypaw and Leafpool were watching the rain. Well, Jaypaw couldn't really see it but he could hear it.

"Oh. Jaypaw, help your brother and W/n get dry." Leafpool's ears pricked at the sound of our arrival.

Jaypaw turned around and shoved some moss to Lionpaw's pelt.

"Ow." Lionpaw complained. It didn't really hurt, he just felt the need to say it.

You sat down in a moss nest, shaking your pelt and making anything two tail lengths away wet.

"W/n, do that somewhere else." Jaypaw said. He let Lionpaw pick out the moss on his fur.

"I can't do it outside." you said to him. Jaypaw rolled his eyes, which was something you were sure he couldn't do.

You licked your pelt, grooming yourself. It felt weird when it was wet.

Jaypaw pressed a paw to your chest. You realized how big you were compared to him. Your body grew faster and more warrior-ish.

"No coughing. I don't think you're sick." Jaypaw said. "Here anyways." he gave you some leaves.

"I'm not sick, and I still need these?" You sniffed the herbs. "It's a waste."

"No it isn't." Jaypaw said, surprisingly not snapping back.

You chewed up the leaves and swallowed them quickly.

"Thanks Jaypaw." you licked his forehead and left to the warriors' den, running through the rain.

"Er... you're welcome." Jaypaw muttered, his tail rising.
