Chapter 19: The black lake

The day of the task had came and no one could Find Adeline. Viktor had even looked for Adeline for hours before the third task had commenced. He began to worry but he needed to focus on the Task that was a head. While he sat in they boat with Ivan and Headmaster Karkaroff, he had the break the silence. "How can you not worry about Adeline being missing" Voiced Viktor, with a bit of anger built up in his voice. "My daughter is ok, If she is truly lost.. She Knows how to defend herself, after all she is a very Powerful witch" Exclaimed  Karkaroff confidently. "I know she is but She has been Gone for hours" Viktor exclaimed. Ivan Looked up from the water, as his hand was glinding in the water as the boat had rowed its self to the jumping Tower that was just built for the third task. "Dumbledore knows where Adeline is, he told me that he sent her on a mission" Ivan said proudly.  "Grate right before my task" Viktor mumbled as he stood up and made his way on to the platform with the other champions. Ivan and Karkaroff had made there way onto the platform after Viktor. "Mr.Krum, glad you could make it" Exclaimed barty crouch, gathering all the campions into a circle. With there head masters standing behind them.

"you all have one hour to find the person that is really close to you, you Will have Challenges along the way before you can Obtain the person. Hopefully you all had found ways to breath under water" Barty had told the campions. The campions nodded their heads.  "now you all go get ready" Crouch exclaimed. Viktor had reunited with Ivan. "I figured out where Your sister has gone" Viktor had told Ivan, taking off his jacket and placed it next to Ivan. "Where did she go" Ivan looked up at Viktor. "She is in that lake... I got to save her" Viktor had told ivan as his heart dropped. "make sure she is ok" Ivan asked viktor. "Don't worry Ivan, Ill get your sister back. I have a perfect  plan thanks to her" Viktor said smiling down at Ivan.

The Tri wizard champion's lined, up shoulder to shoulder on the edge of the platform waiting on the cannon to go off.  Viktor took a deep Breath. Remember Partial transfiguration. Viktor had kept telling himself. The Cannon went off with a loud bang. All Viktor knew was that he was first in the water. Everyone was still on the platform doing what they need to do, to breath under water. Viktor took his wand from the secured spot on his leg. an began the Partial transfiguration on his top half. His top face began to morph into a shark... thankfully he couldn't feel anything. One thing for sure, he has to tell Adeline that he had finally mastered the fin that laid on his back. Viktor had put his wand up as he placed his wand back in is Holster that was on his leg. He began to talk off to find Adeline as everyone had jumped in. 

Viktor swam for what felt like forever, he often thought he had saw the same fish pass him multiple times. He came to a complete stop at a dense kelp Forest.. Should I Go in?  Viktor Began to wonder if it was even worth risking it. Could this cost him time to get to Adeline... He took one more glace behind him and proceeded forward with in the Kelp forest

Viktor was half way threw the Kelp forest, before a bunch of small creature grabbed on to his legs. He couldn't move his head fully to see what that grabbed his leg. He was being dragged down by what ever it was. He began to panic. he couldn't do much with a shark head. He took the risk and quickly grabbed his wand. that was inches away to the creature. Viktor gave a quick flick of his wand, to clear his legs. Blue sparks came from the tip of his wand, making the Creatures depart from his legs. One of the Creatures had came into his eye sight. the creatures had sickly green skin, with green teeth and small pointy horns on its head. Viktor had realized that it was a bunch of grindlow's attached to his legs.

He had finally made it out of the kelp Forest, a little scratched up but alive. When he had looked up from taking a quick seconded to breath. He had saw Adeline tied up next to the other champions goal. Adeline had looked lifeless from afar. Her long curly bown hair floated up with the movement of the water, which had showed every inch of her face. She seemed so helpless. He didn't even take time to look around the village that had sounded them. 

Viktor shook his head his head to get himself back on task. He began to swim closer to Adeline but he was stopped by a female merperson who swam very quickly in front of him. "You can only take one" The merpreson demandingly told viktor, as she pulled nout her spear adn sawm to the side so he could pass by her. Viktor had Swam past the merpeson as quick as he could. When he reached Adeline, he opened his shark jaws and bit into the rope the was tied on to the rock that was holding her down. The rope broke and the rope that was attached to Adeline remained in the jaws of the shark.

Viktor began to swim out of the merpeople's village with Adeline floating a little bit behind him. The last thing that he ever wants to do is hurt Adeline. He swam up to the surface and as the both of them had broke the surface, his  head turned back to normal head and Adeline had woken up from what ever she was under. Adeline took a deep breath as she swam. "VIKTOR" yelled Adeline as she gained back her bargains. "Adeline" Viktor yelled back, trying to get his voice to amplify over the cheering crowd. Adeline swam as quick as she could towards Viktor.  Adeline got to viktor and gave him a big hug. "Nice to see you viktor" she said while giving him a hug.  

When the had arrived back to the platform and where given a towel to dry off. They had sat down and began to talk while they waited for the others to return from the task. "Where have you been, ive looked everywhere for you" Viktor asked Adeline. "When i had returned to the castle, I had stopped by Dumbledore's Office to tell him that i had a safe travel from London. He had asked me to be your goal for the task . I told him yes but I had to also write the column for the daily profit about the task" Adeline responded. "What about the Colum...You where in the water for the whole task" Viktor questioned Adeline. "Dumbledore of course, he took notes for me while I was in the water" Adeline chuckled in response. "That old man has always has your back" Viktor responded back to Adeline  with a comforting smile.
