Chapter 3: The man with the Scars

"What is up with all this bloody racket" asked the man as Adeline looked up to see that the man was wearing tattered robes, light brown hair that was flecked with gray, though he is quite young with scars crossed his face. The man looked quite ill and exhausted. "Im sorry Remus, did we wake you" asked Dumbledore as Adeline started to study the scared man infront of her, He seemed like he had a story better story then she did. "I just got home actually.. to come home to find my old headmaster and a young witch, who i don't even know" said Remus as Adeline pushed the chair back and stood up as she held her hand out for the man to shake "Sorry for the intrusion sir, im Adeline. Adeline Karkaroff" said Adeline as she waited for the man to shake her hand. "Its ok Adeline, i am Remus lupin" said Remus as he shook Adeline hand which was much smaller then him. As they let go of each other hands, Adeline started to get a bit nervous. "Not to be rude what time is" questioned Adeline as she looked at the wizards infront of her as she was here with out her father knowing where she is. Remus looked at his watch on his wrist as is was cracked down the middle. "Approximately 12 am" responded remus as he looked back up at Adeline as she put back on her cape like it was the last thing she was going to do. "I must be on my way before my father wakes Dumbledore" said Adeline as she made she the cape was on properly.  "You go Adeline, see you tomorrow at hogwarts with your father and brother" respond Dumbledore as Adeline gave a small chuckle. "That is if i make it Alive" said Adeline before she was gone with a pop and all the remanded in the dining room was a confused remus and a happy Dumbledore. "Dumbledore.. what was that a about, did i scare her" asked remus as he put his hand on the back of a chair that sat at the table.

"you didn't scare her Remus.. she just had to be off before her father knew she was gone." Respond Dumbledore as he took a drink of his remaining tea. "How old is the girl any way" asked Remus as he scratched his head with his hand that wasn't resting on the back of the chair. "Dear Adeline is 20, finished Durmstrang at the age 19.. her father keeps a close eye on her" Dumbledore stated as Remus gave a bit of a confused look. "I thought Durmstrang was a school for boys" Remus questioned as Dumbledore shook his head in response. "There are females there Remus, hard to be accepted but they are there" he responded back to remus as it just made the poor wizard even more confused. "How did she even get in" asked Remus as he was trying to put this all together in his head. "You will find out tomorrow remus.. now I must be off, a lot of things going on tomorrow" said the old wizard as he stood up with a smile before he left with a pop as well. Remus gave a sigh as he looked at the tables that now had 2 empty tea cups on it with a kettle. "Great the old man always leaves me with things to pick up" Remus said to him self as he shook his head before he took his wand out of his coat pocket and gave it a wave as every thing started to put itself up, after it was cleaned of course!
