Adeline made it back onto the ship where she will call home for a bit for a good while, while the Triwizard tournament is happening. Opening the room door that laid in the Captains Quarters. There was a Owl sitting on the open window with a letter at its feet. Adeline shut the door behind her as she made her way to the unfamiliar white snow owl who now cleaned its feathers. "Hello pretty thing" said Adeline walking towards the white owl and held out her hand out for the owl to smell. "Im sorry, but i dont any treats" she stated towards the owl and it gave a hoot before it flew of into the night sky. Adeline looked down at the letter as it was addressed to her.. who would be addressing her.
Adeline ripped open the envelope and pulled out the letter that oddly smelt like chocolate that you could by at a shop in Diagon alley. Unfolding the letter she began.
Dear Adeline,
The short meeting that we had was a interesting one. You seem like a mysterious person with a lot of things to be discovered, like i do myself, don't let the scars fool you.. they definitely have a story behind them
Sincerely,
R.J. Lupin
Adeline look in confusion at the letter from the man she had only meet once during the small she had with Albus Dumbledore about the letter she has received from her deceased mother. "How did he know where i was" Stated Adeline placing the open letter on the desk next to envelope it once was in. "Magic, my dear" said a voice from behind Adeline, she turned around to look the Portrait that sat above a arm chair where she read her books. It was a women no older then 27. She had long brown hair that laid nicely on her shoulders that complained her two different eye colors, light blue and green. "I know its magic mother but how did he know i would be here at Hogwarts" stated Adeline, turning back around to stair at the Mountain in the distance. "Remus has alway been a very interesting boy... always hanged around James, Sirius and Peter" stated Adeline's mother, looking over at he eldest daughter. Who she had watched grow up from the many picture frames that her dear Igor had made. "How do you know this Lupin guy" questioned Adeline walking over to her bed to sit on. "If you remember, i was raised on these very grounds.. watched everyone from a far while reading books With dear Severus" She stated with a lifeless emotions. Adeline always remembered her mom having emotions, laughing at small bad jokes that her father had said over a candle lit dinner. "You knew that cold hearted man" asked Adeline laying her head down on her pillow looking up at the Ceiling that was made to look like the one back home. "Seems like you meet dear Severus, he wasn't always that cold hearted. He once loved a girl with lovely fiery red hair.. but never got a chance to tell her how he felt.. he almost did, only to find out she began to date James Potter.. to just call her mudblood after a small argument" stated her mother, giving a blank stair. "Why such a vial word" questioned Adeline. Growing up she had always heard her father throw around that word like it was nothing. "He had started to hang around the kids who had signed their life's over to The dark lord" she explained. "It Turned his life around to the dark side"
"But mum, what in the right mind made Lupin owl me" asked Adeline, taking her hand threw her curly brown hair. "He see's the abnormal quality's of a person" she responded. "But what is un-normal about me, Adeline Val karkaroff" She stated placing her hand back on to the bed. "You'll find out soon enough after all, you're named after a smart man" stated Adeline's mother giving a small smile. Her mother was raised by Albus Dumbledore, after her parents abandoned her with him; a very close friend to Albus Dumbledore. "Me having partially one of his name doesn't mean anything" Adeline stated, making it known that she really didn't care that she was named after her mothers adoptive father. "If you truly want answers Addy, all you have to do is ask sev" stated her mother, quickly changing the subject off of her adoptive father. "But what about albus.. couldn't he tell me something" she asked.
"He wouldn't tell you.. he is touchy on the subject" she responded "while your at it.. mention dear Remus" she added before going stagnant.
"Well thanks mother" stated Adeline giving a stressed sigh as she debated if she would write lupin back. Adeline pulled her wand from her boot, with a flick of her wand a pice of parchment landed on her desk as a quill slowly dipped its self into the ink before it began to write.
"Dear Lupin, why owl me..a person you hardly know, when there is other people that you could owl. I seemed very intrigued by that" stated Adeline with a final flick of her want knowing that the letter was very short for a letter that she would normally write. With that flick, the parchment  folded into fours very nicely and sat soundly on her desk along with the quill.
