The Surprise

4 years later

Perrie and I have been married for 5 years now, and I finally have my permanent visa. It's been a week since I got it, and even though Perrie and I were happily together, I got a little nervous that she wouldn't want to stay married since we only got married for that. She didn't say anything about it, though, and I was a little afraid to ask.

Our life has been great, and over the years we have fallen in love even more. Perrie is absolutely the greatest partner someone could ask for.

I now work as an immigration lawyer. I decided to do that so I could help other people like me. Perrie still works as a musician and producer, and she got to work with some pretty big names. We even went to America two times to go to the Grammys since some songs and albums she produced were nominated and some won.

Leigh and Andre got married and have the cutest twins; Faouzia now is dating a nice guy she met at the label as well. We expended our family as well, but not with our own little human but with a dog, a cute Pomeranian named Hatchi. He is really attached to Perrie though, and at first he didn't even like me being close to her.

I heard Hatchi barking and running around like crazy, so I knew Perrie had arrived.

"Hello J'adore!" She approached me and kissed me.

"Hi babe, how was work?" I asked.

"It was great. I'm still a little starstruck, like Stevie Fucking Nicks worked with me. Like how?" She was gushing over the singer.

"If your eyes keep shining like this talking about her, I'll get jealous," I said playfully.

"Don't worry, babe, I only have eyes for you," she said with a smile, and we kissed again. When we parted ways, she said

"That reminds me of something. Go get ready."

"Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise."

"You know I don't like surprises," I whined.

"And yet you're still with me even though I do them all the time," she replied with a smirk.

"Only because I love you."

"And I love you too. Now go get ready.

I got ready, and now we were in the car.

"You're really not going to tell me, are you?" I asked.

"Nope," she simply said.

After a while the car came to a stop in front of a beautiful, big house.

"Come on, babe" Perrie said, getting out of the car and opening the door for me. She guided me inside the house, and it was absolutely beautiful.

"Pez, what are we doing here?" I was confused.

"Well... 8 years ago I met the most beautiful, smart, and fierce woman in the world. Five years ago, we got married for the wrong reasons, but now I want to marry her for the right ones." She got on one knee, and I couldn't contain the happy tears escaping my eyes.

"We are in this house because it is for sale, and I wanted to buy it for us so we can continue to build our life together. So Jade Edwards, will you make this our home and keep making me the happiest woman by marrying me again?"

"Yes, Perrie, a million times yes," I said, jumping on her and kissing her.

She opened the box with a diamond necklace with a ring pendant.

"I thought that since we already have wedding rings, I could get something different now."

"It's beautiful, Pez."

"Not as beautiful as you, though" Perrie replied, and I blushed.

"You're always a flirt" I said with a smile.

"Only your flirt" she replied and kissed me.

It's crazy how Perrie and I met almost a decade ago, and she is still able to make me feel like a schoolgirl. I wouldn't change her for the world.

"So, how do you like the house?"

"I loved it. It is absolutely beautiful."

"Good, I can finalize the purchase then. I can already see us here in the future with Hatchi and our little kids."

"You want kids in plural?"

"Oh yeah, definitely, so when we're old and grey, they'll have each other."

"Yeah, I like that idea," I said, smiling happily.

"I hope they look like you," she said.

"No way, they have to have those beautiful eyes" I countered.

Perrie has made me the happiest during the years we were together, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
