This weekend we were visiting Perrie's family in her hometown, and I was a little nervous that they wouldn't like the fact that we were together. Perrie told me to relax and that they would love it because they already love me. I met her family four times before, and since I didn't have any family here, Perrie took me with her to celebrate Christmas, New Year's, and my birthday, since it was on Boxing Day, with her family. They also came to surprise her on her 20th birthday.

I had just finished packing when Perrie came inside the room with tea and biscuits for me.

"Hello, gorgeous" she said, giving me a kiss on the cheek and putting the food on the nightstand.

"Let me guess, you didn't pack, so you want me to help you" I said, raising an eyebrow.

"Come on, can't I do something nice for you?" She said and I gave her a look "Fine, I didn't pack."

"I knew it!" I said, "But you always do nice things for me, so I'll pack for you."

"Yaaay! That's why I love you" she said as she tackled me in bed and started leaving kisses on my face.

"Perrie, stop!" I said, laughing.

After we stopped our shenanigans, I packed Perrie's bags and we went to bed. Tomorrow was the day of our little trip.

Next Day

We caught a plane to South Shields, and now we are in a taxi going to the Edwards's house. Perrie called Debbie, her mom, to tell her to reunite the family because we had important news.

The main Edwards estate was a big, beautiful house where Debbie lived with Perrie's stepfather Mark. It was there that all the family gatherings and stuff took place. Despite being divorced, Perrie's mom and dad, Alex, got along really well; they did joint holidays so both of them could see their children.

Since Perrie told her mom that we had important news, she decided on having a family dinner so we could tell everyone at once. On the dinner table would be Jonnie, Caitlin, Debbie, Mark, Alex, Perrie's cousin Ellie and her mom Nancy, and Perrie's stepmom Joanna. I was even more anxious because everyone was going to be there, and I was worried they would think I was using Perrie for a visa.

"Babe, I can see that you're worried." "I already told you there is nothing to worry about" Perrie said, putting her hand on my thigh and squeezing it.

"I know. "I'm just worried they will think I'm using you," I said, defeated. Perrie guided me by the chin to face her.

"Look, Jade, you're not using me OK."I said that I would do anything to keep you here, and I'll keep my promise. "It is also no sacrifice for me to have a smart and hot wife," she said, sending me a wink.

I smiled and said, "Ok, then, and I have a talented, hot wife."

"That's right," she said with a hair flip.

The car came to a stop, and I noticed we were there already. We got out of the car, Perrie paid for the taxi, and we collected our bags. She knocked on the door, and Debbie opened it with a smile on her face.

"Hii pet! "I missed you." she said, hugging Perrie tightly.

"I missed you too, mom."

Debbie let go of Perrie and came to me and said, "Hi Jade! "How is my second daughter?" she asked.

"I'm really good, thank you." "I also missed you guys." I replied.

"Let's get you two inside then," Debbie said.

We went to Perrie's bedroom, rested a bit, took a shower, and got ready for dinner. We greeted all the family, and the dinner was going great.

Jonnie said, "Come on, you two, you're killing me with curiosity." What's the news?" I had taken out my engagement ring so they wouldn't ruin the surprise. I looked at Perrie, and she nodded. She took the ring out of her pocket and gave it to me underneath the table.

"Well, I know we never told you explicitly, but I guess you guys already know that Jade and I are together." Perrie said.

"Yes" everyone said in unison.I guess we indeed seemed like a couple.

"Well, so the big news is..." she grabbed my hand and placed it on the table. Caitilin was the first to notice.

"Oh, my god!" she said, pointing at the ring. That's when the others noticed too, and there were a lot of cheers and congratulations.

Debbie was hugging Perrie, and I heard her say, "You better treat Jadey right."

"Mom, you should say this to her; I am your daughter." Perrie whined, and I laughed.

It was a great night, and everyone was happy for us. They asked about the proposal, and all of them were shocked at Perrie being romantic. We talked and laughed until everyone started leaving, and Debbie and Mark went to bed.

Perrie was on the couch, and I was seated between her legs with my back pressed against her front and her arms around my waist. "I'm really glad that they are happy with the wedding," I said.

"I told you they would be. "You're already family, Jade; what is going to change now is just a piece of paper," she said.

"Now I'll become officially an Edwards," I said and giggled.

"You want to take my name?" Perrie asked.

"Yeah, Jade Amelia Edwards does sound nice." "Don't you think?" I replied, turning my head to look at her.

"Indeed it does, Mrs. Edwards," she said, smirking at me. In that moment, I got lost in her deep blue eyes; she also seemed to be lost in mine. There was this shift in energy going on around us. Since the day of the proposal, Perrie and I haven't kissed; I didn't have the courage to do it, but if she did, I wouldn't object to it. The bubble we were in burst when we heard a noise in the kitchen. Mark came with a glass of water in his hands.

"My bad lovebirds, I just came to get some water," he said.

"It's fine, we should be going to bed anyway." Perrie said.

We got up, headed to the bedroom, and did our nightly routine. We laid down in bed, with Perrie being the big spoon. She kissed the back of my head and said, "Good night, Jadey."

"Good night, Pez."

I felt bad for lying to our families, but I was very happy to become a part of the Edwards.
