I was greeted by my mae who was already waiting for me eagerly since Ae informed her that I was coming to stay with them. I smiled at her as I walked into the house. There sat the old man going through the newspaper with his forehead decorated with lines. "Get that ass up if you don't want me to kick you!" those words leaving my mother's mouth made me snap my head in her direction.

The next moment, my father left his seat and immediately rushed to her. "H-honey... Did I do something wrong?" he asked. I was left with my mouth hanging open when I saw him behave like this. As far as I knew, he was not someone who would be so polite and nice. He had been really rude and a terrible person whom I referred to as monster.

"You don't have eyes I guess. Can't you see our son is home?" she said furiously. "Oh... My lovely sweetheart is home! How have you been dear? Let me get your bedroom ready for you. Honey, is there anything else to be done?" he inquired. "Just do what I have told you." Mae said and I can see my father disappear behind the door.

"Mae?? Is he been hit by car or something? How come he is behaving so abnormal?" I asked while looking in the direction where my por had went. "He just got the taste of his own medicine. Don't worry. Just make yourself comfortable. I will get you something to eat." Mae said and then moved towards the kitchen. I spared a glance around my home and it looked as comfy as it always did.

Soon mae walked out of the kitchen carrying a glass of juice. I could smell the orange and immediately felt thirsty. When the glass was passed on to me, I didn't waste anytime in emptying the contents. After that, I felt full and satisfied. "You look a bit different. Like your skin is glowing and you put on a bit of weight." Mae commented. Well, I am pregnant, what else do you expect?

"Err... That..." I was still trying to find words to explain when por appeared out of nowhere declaring that he had tidied up my room. "Go, get fresh and we can talk later. You must be tired and Ae had told me that you haven't been keeping good health these days. You should take some rest." Mae said. Thank God that por was there in time. It's not that I don't wanna tell mom but I want some time to think before I spill everything. Moreover, I want to know about her thoughts.

I just nodded and then headed to my bedroom to get fresh and change into comfortable clothes. I was happy to see my bedroom still the same and everything being in place. It was a surprise though to see por being so polite and nice.

I had lunch with my parents and por finally left home saying that he was going to meet his friends and that was followed by a warning from mae saying 'I am watching you'. When we were finally alone, mae decided to use this opportunity to talk to me.

"Pete, I wanted to ask you about it earlier but held back because your por was here but now that he is out, let me use this time to speak about it. Is there any problem between you and Ae?" she asked. "No khrab... everything is fine." I replied. "I don't feel so. Ae seemed a little restless when he called. He was worried and kept telling me to look after you. Is there something that you have been hiding from us dear?" she questioned.

I looked at her while contemplating with the thought about speaking the truth or lying but since I needed to talk this out, I thought I should speak the truth. "Mae.... I am pregnant..." I said in low voice. "Is it?" was the only thing I heard and I nodded in response. That followed a loud squeal and then another bone crashing hug. "I am so happy my baby!! I am sooooo happy!! Finally!! I am going to be grandma. What a great surprise sweetheart. I didn't see it coming. Why didn't Ae tell me about this?" mae kept blabbering as she pulled away and looked at me.

For a moment, I wanted to tell her the truth but held back because I didn't want to spoil her mood. She was so excited to know that she was going to be a grandma. "You take some rest and I will prepare something for you. Ahhh... I need to go shopping!! I have to also make list of things that you will need. Oh!! By the way, are you having mood swings or cravings? Just let me know and I will take care of everything. Alright?" mae said.
