Epilogue

Pete's POV:

After the interrogation with others and some of the witnesses, it was clear that Thahan was the one responsible for my miscarriage. He purposely made up a plan and disconnected the CCTV camera so that he wouldn't be caught in the act. But one of the child who was playing with the cell phone accidentally happened to record the video of what happened. And when his parents came across it, they contacted us informing me about it. Tin and Ae rushed quickly to get the evidence that proved Thahan to be guilty and charges were pressed against him.

He later admitted that he did this all because Kiat had paid him and turned out that there were many things that Kiat had done illegally. Some of the people accused him to have sold the apartments at the higher costs than the actual ones. He was found to have forged some papers in order to sell few lands. That was not the only crimes he committed. Some of the construction he had undertaken was found to be illegal and he even bribed some of the officials to get the work done.

Further investigation revealed lot many things that landed Kiat into trouble. Ae's father was not happy with the news and stated that he was not going to hold any ties with such a person and disowned him. Also, he announced that he was retiring and Ae would be taking over the business from now on. As a result, Ae had to resign from his job and take over the responsibility.

After the trials, Thahan was sent to prison for 10 years while Kiat was sentenced for life time imprisonment. That was not only because he had done illegal activities but also because it was revealed that he was involved in a murder. He had been to some strip club with his friends and then kidnapped one of the stripper and raped her before killing. Everyone involved tried to explain that they were drunk at that time but crime is crime and there is no way that you can get away after committing it.

The girl who was involved in the crime admitted that she did it because Thahan offered her a deal. He told her that he will pay her and also help her in getting close to Ae. She admitted all the crimes and was then sentenced for 2 years in prison.

But things inside the prison weren't that good. Thahan and Kiat would fight occasionally when they would come across each other blaming one another for their state. Initially it was only verbal but then it took to some physical fights till the day when things went out of hand and they both go injured. They had been fighting with each other with some weapons and they ended up hurting each other. Kiat's head was hit badly and he went unconscious. He was admitted in hospital and the doctors informed that his brain was damaged. When he regained consciousness, he already forgot about everything and started to behave weirdly. He would say that he hear things and see people trying to harm him. When he was returned back to the prison, he was scared and tried to attack everyone so there was no other option than taking him to the asylum.

Thahan lost his arm because of the injury. He was held back at hospital till recovery before he was sent back to prison. I hope at least now he knows the pain of losing something that belongs to you. I would say that it was justice well served and nothing else.

When I was just 3 days away from the due date, the water bag broke and I was screaming for Ae to hurry up. As usual he had to carry me out of the apartment and all the way to downstairs but this time he was in panic. On the way to hospital, he was calling everyone to inform them we were headed to hospital as the baby was on the way.

The labor pain was the worst ones because I was screaming and yelling all the time. It was really difficult to bare the pain. Ae was there besides me and I was not even aware about the curses and the words that left my mouth. I threatened Ae that I will chop off his fingers if he ever dared to touch me... Also warning him that I am not allowing any physical contact for the coming 5 years and how his son was troubling me so much. The medical stuff were laughing at the condition while Ae stood beside me like a kicked puppy. Finally what felt like hours of painful labor, the baby was finally born.
