Ae's POV:

After having cleared everything between us, Pete seemed a little bit recovering. He was no longer spacing out or thinking by sitting alone. I can see him working in kitchen after I returned back or he would be indulged in some reading. I didn't want to disturb him so I was maintaining my distance. Also, the work had been piling up from last few days because of my personal problems and I needed to wind it up.

Sometimes, I would be working in the office late night getting the things done. The meetings that were postponed were scheduled in between so that I can get the target finished in given time, not that it mattered though. By the time I would return to bed, Pete would be sound asleep. And that eventually lead to me sleeping in the study room since I didn't want to wake him up.

Also, he had been busy with his own work and Tin had said that they have been having a busy schedule and after the emotional problems, I wanted him to have some peace. Sometimes, our parents would come for a visit so that Pete would feel better. We had been to regular visits to doc for check-up since the doctor wanted to perform some tests in order to make sure that there wasn't any issue.

Pete had been prescribed some medicines and asked to take rest as much as possible. That was the main reason that I was keeping my distance. I didn't want to trouble him with anything. Moreover, his health was my priority.

Today, there was one meeting scheduled at 7.00 pm since the client had been busy. It was important for me to not miss it and since I was going to stay out, I asked Tin to be there at apartment with Pete.

And as expected, the meeting lasted for two hours and the client insisted on having dinner with us. There was no way that I could deny so I had to stay back. It was around 10.00 pm that I arrived back home accompanied by Can. I can hear Tin and Pete talking in the living room but the moment I stepped in, they stopped and turned around.

"Took you quite long..." Tin said. "Yes... The client wanted to have dinner with us and we couldn't deny." I replied. "Are there more meetings scheduled?" he inquired. "Yes... Lot many... And lot more work is pending." I said.

"Ohhh... Pete had been talking about the appointment with doctor next week. I wanted to ask if I could go along with him in place of you. I mean you have been busy and Can had been telling me how much work load you have. Also, it will be convenient for me to go along with Pete since it's after work. You don't have to drop everything and tag along with him." Tin offered.

"Thanks Tin but it's fine. Pete is my highest priority. Work can wait, his health is more important." I replied. "Pete, have you prepared dinner? I am damn hungry. That client eats so little and the lavish restaurant just served little food. I was telling Ae that we should eat somewhere outside but he didn't listen. Why to waste money in this restaurant when you can eat a good meal somewhere else. Let me tell y-" "Can???" Tin cut him off mid-sentence.

"I am sorry about his misbehavior. I should make sure to teach him some manners." Tin apologized. "It's alright Tin. I have cooked dinner." Pete said while looking at me. I didn't know what he was trying to say but the next thing I saw was Can followed Pete inside the kitchen.

"I'll get fresh." I said while excusing myself and making my way towards the bedroom. Pete seemed to have cleaned the place because I can see some stuff being shifted. May be he wanted to keep himself busy. I walked into the walk in closet and changed to the comfortable clothes.

I stepped out and then made my way towards the living room where Can was seated and stuffing his mouth with food. Only then did I notice that Pete had cooked my favorite meal. May be he was trying to ask if I was still hungry earlier. But in order not to make him feel sad, I asked, "Pete, is there more food?"
