Leaving the Ikran place, the teens crossed my path and called me to go with them into the lab which is next to us but I don't often come by. As I decided to go, I saw Neytiri looking at us. We locked eyes for a moment before I turned around and left with the others.
"Dr. Carry!" I called and waved at the woman. She smiled and waved back. She is one of the scientists that we have around, though she was from a different station and Norm decided that she can stay and so did many Na'vis too.
"Naili! Hello, sweetheart." The woman said and smiled, her hair was braided and her thick lips were covered in a lip gloss, she was wearing the usual lab coat. She had darker skin than the other scientists, African-American as she told me once. She also told me that her culture and mine had the same braid style and it made me happy that even though she was human and I was Na'vi, we still had something in common.
"How are you?" She asked and stopped working on whatever she was working on.
"I'm fine, could be better." I mumbled and looked over her shoulder. A leaf was on the table and she was examining it.
"Where did you got this?" I asked, she chuckled.
"It was given by Kiri. I have no idea where it's from." She explained and looked up at me while I looked down since Carry was sitting.
"Oh, okay! How are the Avatars, by the way? The one for Spider?" I asked and then started walking around. Carry stood up and followed me around.
"It's almost done. A few more years, maybe." She claimed. I let out an exciting squeal. The doctor laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Amazing!" Then I let her keep working on her work while I joined Spider, Kiri and Lo'ak. They were together in the Avatar growing room, talking.
"Naili!" Spider called and waved me in, so I walked up to them and smiled.
"So? What is with your mask?" I asked. Apparently the reason why they went here was because Spider's oxygen mask had a hole or something and the air was leaving quickly.
"They're reaping it, gave me a new one." He chuckled and smiled. I nodded.
We were often in the lab, Spider grew up here, with the humans and Na'vi but mostly he was with us. Playing around with Lo'ak and Kiri. They were always close. Since I was the oldest, I saw them growing up. They were absolutely adorable as babies. I remember everything.
But the lab was the place Spider sleeps at, he eats here and has to shower and change here like any other human on Pandora. But he never wore his clothes like the human. He doesn't walk properly like the other humans. He doesn't go after their culture or their way. He goes with the Na'vi way. The way he was seeing and taught about his whole life.
We stayed at the lab for a while, some other scientists had commented on my white hair. It was an accident in the lab. Neytiri was shocked and angry but I was just confused. It happened years ago and I didn't see the chemical white color that was standing on a closet, it fell down after I ran into the closet. I was covered in white color. We got it off my body but my hair was already soaked in it.
Now I had white hair and not black like the others. But I liked it, Neytiri not quite though I think she got used to it and she doesn't care so much about it anymore. The good thing, when I visit my dad in the spirit tree, my hair is black again as long as I'm with my dad.
As we headed back, Tuk joined us and we decided to just go around for a walk.
Lo'ak had his arrow and bow with him while Kiri connected with everything around her and touched everything that was there.
My eyes kept scanning the nature, something told me here was someone who shouldn't be here but I couldn't tell what.
Lo'ak and I were in the front, Spider was left with Kiri and Tuk. Though, I knew those three were mostly together anyway because Tuk always followed her older sister around. And Spider was also always with Kiri.
