Running through the forest, with every step I made the grass glowed for a short moment. I smiled and let go off Naili, she stopped walking and turned to me, smiling.
"They're glowing!" I laughed and jumped from one place to the other, making the grass glow beneath my feet.
"They're glowing! Look, Naili!" I called excitingly. She laughed and nodded.
"I know!" I grabbed her hands again and pulled her in to jump with me. She laughed and did in fact jump.
"It's so beautiful!" I called. Circling around, my hands touching leves and flowers.
"The nature was outstanding. I've said this before, I know. But this was beyond imagination. The way everything connects and reacts to everything like it was actually part of it. And it was. Eywa was everywhere. Naili had explained it to me. Many things she said, I already knew but it was still fascinating how someone who is part of this whole planet, is talking about it. It was completely different."
Naili was laughing at me while I kept jumping around the place. With every new step, I squealed a little. Then I let myself fall into the grass. It felt fresh, a little cold but otherwise it was soft and felt safe. I sighed. Naili let herself fall next to me, she was on her stomach, her arms on the ground, her head on them, turned to me.
"It's so beautiful here.." I whispered and turned around to her too. Her eyes were shining a little, the orange brightly colored. I could stare into her eyes for hours. She was so beautiful, her white her fit her perfectly. It was something so special about her even though it was just chemical colors.
"Yea, you were- it was. It was, yes. It is." She stumbled and cleared her throat. I chuckled and leaned over to her.
"Thank you." I whispered. Naili pulled back and jumped up. Confused why she pulled back, she walked a bit away.
"There are some more things.. come with me." Naili smiled, held her hand out then and I grabbed her hand, then she pulled me up.
"Really? What else? What can be more beautiful than glowing grass?!" I asked, suddenly she pulled me with her. We kept our distance to the crew, though, they knew where we were.
Naili let go off my hand.
"Watch." She whispered, then she started running through the high grass. Flying animals left the grass, glowing brightly. They flew around, up into the air. Into the night sky. I looked up. The sky was shining with the mant stars. My jaw dropped a little but then my eyes caught up to Naili again.
She wore her white hair open, it was blown behind her from the wind that was caused by the animals. The clothes she had on were the usual black collar shirt and the shorts but She looked so beautiful..
"It was the first time that Naili glowed that way. Even though she was being held captured, something about the way she didn't care about it, made me happy. Quaritch and the others were nice to her and didn't treat her like a prisoner at all. More like she was a niece they didn't like so much and had to take care off. Naili's smile was everything I needed. Sorry for the random subject change, but I had to say it. Her beauty was beyond imagination. She was part of Eywa like any other Na'vi but Naili.. oh, Naili.. she was a gift from the goddess herself."
We stayed outside longer than we should but I did inform Quaritch through the microphones. I told him our location since we were further away from the cave than expected. Naili didn't try to leave once, though.
The morning slowly arrived, Naili and I had fallen asleep in the grass after spending hours jumping and cheering around. I was the first to wake up, Naili next to me. Her hair covered her face. One hand was on her stomach, since she was laying on the side. A smile appeared on my lips and I stayed on the ground.
