Sighing I pushed open the door and was immediately tackled by leo at the three fairies. I let out a started noise as the brothers caught me, laughing at my misfortune as I hugged leo, laughing.
"it's okay guys, I'm fine."
The fairies chimed worriedly as I sighed, shaking my head.
"I know ladies, it's dealt with, this is will and bill, they helped me out with the gnomes."
I brought the three closer,
"I'll explain to the best of my abilities what happened."
The three nodded and waved, going to the disguised demons and healing them of there scrapes. I held leo and smiled at them as they looked at me with watery eyes.
"KID!"
Stan and Ford shouted, hugging me as Killian walked past me with a nod and too his brothers, ushering them out the door. I quickly passed leo to Stan and ran to the door.
"hey!"
The three turnt to me, as I blushed slightly.
"thanks, for saving me back there... We still meeting up tomorrow for the 'hike'."
I said, in a joking manner, making will laugh bashfully. Killian smiled and shook his head.
"ill drive 'em to yours, more time I'm away from them the better."
He said with a head shake, Bill blinked, will smiling.
"I-I'll see you S-soon, Dipper."
I waved them off, Walking back into the shack. Ford gave me a knowing look, as Stan started his questioning.
"where were ya, kid! Susan told me you went to visit that bear guy and hadn't come back yet! Then I hear something about the gnomes?!"
I sighed, thinking for a second then starting.
"well, I wanted to tell bear that I'd come back and see the fairies, will joined me till I lost him. I found the fairies and told them to keep an eye out for will and the rest of the group flew away while those three decided to stick with me. I fell into a Grove, meeting up with Clarence who let me rest for a few hours and when I woke up, I was healed by the fairies but trapping it the gnomes cavern."
Stan and Ford shared and uncomfortable look as I continued.
"they wanted me as there... Queen, but I declined, cutting myself free on a crystal and rushing back to Clarence and the fairie, who'd been captured, and freeing them. We where going to fly away on Clarence but his wing was cut as the fairies healed him as we ran. I got turnt onto a clearing where Bill and will where looking for me, we ran to a Bush and hid there for a while. Eventually a gnome found us and we ran to the forest line."
Ford nodded, sighing as he rubbed his face.
"I suppose I should do something to deal with those gnomes. I'll need some assistance, but nothing you, me and mcguket shouldn't be able to deal with."
"stay the night here, in your old attic room, get some rest."
I nodded and took Leo to the room, laying him in mables old bed. I laid in my old and looked at the ceiling, trying to gather my thoughts. Day two and I'd already made a stupid deal with my enemy. I sighed and closed my eyes, ready to rest. When I opened my eyes and groaned in irritation as I stood up, looking around sluggishly I spotted the brothers. I yawned and stretched.
"alrighty, fucks. I want five good reasons as to why I shouldn't throw you like Yo-Yos around my mind scape. You have ten minutes."
"one, I'm the king of the mind scape and these are two dream demons. Two, you made a deal with me, three, it'd be a shame for your family to find out about your new magic." I paled a bit at that earning a chuckle from kill."four, cause you're to tired to do much and five, cause I said so!~"
Bill finished listing as I growled, rolling my eyes.
"right, so why are you here?"
I said, poping out my hip with an eyebrow raised. Will smiled and chirped his answer.
"w-well we made a d-deal and T-thought it better to g-give you a few hours to u-understand what Y-you are now!"
I rose a brow looking between the three, moving my hand in a circular motion.
"which is?"
"y-you-"
"you are a star blessed halfling!"
I blinked, confused.
"a what?"
"star blessed halfling, duh! What I just said!"
Will rolled his eyes and took my hands in his, looking me in the eye.
"a-a star b-blessed I-is typically a human, b-blessed by the stars to hold a-a constellation and T-they will hold the power o-of night, H-having extensive knowledge and C-changing the tides."
I blinked, surprised looking to my hands that where wrapped in wills, a faint tint of colour flowing over me cheeks.
"so like a water bender?"
Killian cackled at this, shaking his head, hand on his chest.
"ooh you are much stronger than a water bender, Mason! You can control shadows as well as dreams! You can place people into comatose states for years! You a basically a dream demon but a little bit weaker and stronger in different ways!"
He laughed, eyes sharpened to slits like that of a dragons eye. I flinched and looked at the other two, who simply smiled. I felt my nerves rise.
"why now? Why is it only now these have shown up!"
"the ring, starling. It unlocks the powers of star blessed, there used to be hundreds! But then the witch trials saw them all destroyed... Or so it was thought. Then you waltz back into gravity Falls and put it on, gaining your powers and more!"
Bill said, spinning around me as I pulled my hands from will's, I paced back and forth for a few seconds only to pause and snap my head at a smug faced Bill.
"you called me a halfling. What does that mean? What do you mean by that!?"
I said, walking purposefully and poking at his chest. His smile grew as he grabbed my hand in a vice grip, making me wince. Will looked uncomfortable while killian smirked.
"it means what I said! You're a halfling, on your mother's side I believe, it seemed the ring unlocked the gene that can turn you into a full version!"
He chirped, smiling at my confused face.
"a full version of what?"
His smirk only grew as his grip tightened, my face grimacing for a second before shock filled me at his next words.
"a full demon."
My eyes widened, as I shot up in my bed, gasping and holding me throat. I panted and looked around me. Then I I looked at my shaking hands and put a hand over my mouth, my hair glowing as the moonlight gently flowed over my skin scrambled away from the oh so comforting moonlights touch. Shuffling caught me attention as I looked up at leo, who was now sat up and looking up at me.
"dip...whats wrong?"
They spoke through a yawn, I sighed, looking up at his sweet little sibling. My eyes glowing ominously in the shadows of the room, hair glowing in seemingly random locations. The big Dipper mark a faded white like an old light bulb, leo didn't seem afraid. They walked to me and stood in the moonlight just in front of where I was cowered in the shadows.
"it's nothing leo... Simply coming to terms..."
"Well then come here! It's nicer in the moonlight!"
They said with a spin, the leo birth mark catching me attention and I shuffled into the light. The comfort filling my bones and making my aching body relax.
"leo..."
"wow, Dipper, you look amazing! You have more stars on you! Hehe! Look! Orions belt! And libra! The hunter and-"
"Maytr, please, I have something I need to warn you of."
They looked at me, blinking confused, I sighed and pulled them into a tight hug.
"leo, you know how rare our birth marks are... How strange they are. I've been searching for what it could mean, and... I think grandpa unintentionally gave the answer."
I gesture to the ring, making leo glance at it before looking at me, nodding for me to continue.
"i- well- someone I know, suggested I'm are star blessed. It means after wearing this ring my blessed powers come forward."
I said, focusing on the green liquid like substance, leo gasped and giggled, waving his hands through it. I smiled slightly and stopped them, realising that magic was becoming easier and less draining, if ever so slightly.
"the powers are extensive, but I hope I'll be able to teach you all you can learn. I plan on asking... My associates what they think, but I believe you may be one as well."
Leo's eyes lit up and they squealed, I chuckled and made a shushing motion.
"ill teach you all I know, and you can learn more with me whenever you visit. But there is something else I must check that may change if this ring will work or we need another."
I half lied, worried that there may be a similar halfling or something else entirely. I wasn't willing to risk leo in that sense, leo nodded excitedly.
"then we can be superheros! And work together to fight off bullies and meanies."
They said, with all the 6 year old innocence as they made hand motions as if punching enemy's. I laughed, holding them close.
"of course, I can take you to visit a friend of mine, they know all."
I said, tapping my noses side as they giggled.
"they must get headaches a lot! Knowing everything is probably tiering."
They said, rubbing their head with a frown. I smiled and put them into their bed, kissing their fore head as I stood. They looked at me confused but I simply smiled.
"I think I'll go to town, you can stay if you'd like, that or we could go home?"
Sitting up leo nodded, grabbing their shoes and putting them one.
"ill write a quick note to the grunkles, then we can head to greasy's, it is 6."
I said, noticing the faint orange of sunrise. They nodded and stretched, hopping out of bed as I finished the note. I pinned it to the door and walked down the stairs, reaching for my hat I realised it wasn't there, looking back it must have fallen at some time the night before. Sighing I walked to the gift shop door, opening it and checked I had everything as leo skipped to the car. As I was shutting the shop door I spotted something that glinted in the corner of the shop. I walked over and grabbed it, turning it over and dusting it off. I looked at the necklace that had been in the corner.
