I tilted my head, a small smile on my face as I watched him crawl back.
"whaaat? Noooo~ rEEEAAALLllly?~"
The amount of sarcasm in my voice as comical, bill was holding his face trying to stifle his laughter as the others captured the remaining cipher wheel members. Stan was holding Susan's hand tightly and covering her, mable was holding her new wife's hand tightly, pacifica looked startled, happy and love struck all at the same time, wendy was frozen her face trapped in confusion. I unfroze her and summon Nate, pushing the two together and replacing him with a concrete replica. I smiled at myself, kinda proud, till I heard a gun click and lifted my back leg, kicking it into Ford's knee. He fell and the gun fired, heading towards mable, it was about to hit when I paused time calmly. I moved her and all the could tell where in the way, out. Starting time mable was suddenly across the room with pacifica, Will fell on his throne as though he'd been pushed, pyronica was face first on the floor.
"well, we'll have none of that in this palace. No no, far to dangerous."
I said, holding the gun and letting it turn into stardust in the palm of my hand. Leo was hugging me under my cloak still, sat on the deer part of my body with their eyes peaking over my shoulder. I glanced and smiled at the golden glow that rimmed their pupils, hair sparkled with stars and glowing freckles.
"What in the flapjack farming sack is going on!"
Susan said, I gasped and covered Leo's ears looking accusingly at her.
"not in front of the child."
"I've literally been listening to people curse in their heads for the past 3 days."
I gapsed louder and slow turnt to all of them.
"you ruined my lil siblings innocents! How cruel!"
I cried out, hand on my forehead as I flopped my human half into, a sarcastically smiling and half lidded, Bill.
"I can't believe!-"
"DIPPER?!"
I let my arms go limp as me, will, pyro, bill, leo and ford stared at the rest of them with faces that vairied but all bled down to 'really'? I opened my mouth to repeat my overly sarcastic remark.
"Nooooo! REEE-"
The rest was muffled by Leo's hand as they glowered down at me with sparkling hair and golden eyes. I saw Bill blink in surprise at the colour but he seemed pleased at the same time as he ruffled Leo's hair.
"atta kid! I would have done it but I'm currently holding you both up."
Pouting I stood on my own hitting him with my hoof as the humans around me, except leo, sucked in a breath and tensed. Bill snorted and flicked my head lightly.
"don't act like that, you can be dramatic all you want when we are alone, okay?"
My freckles glew brighter as I sent a half hearted glare at bill who winked at me. Rolling my eyes I pulled down my hood, moving leo into my arms as I turnt back to my friends and family. Stan was blinking shocked, Susan in a similar state, pacifica and Wendy had a look of confused betrayal, those I'd expected, of course I'd expected them. I'd also expected Ford's glare and hateful muttering. What I wasn't expecting the cold glare mable was sending me. But with a heart of literal ice I simply stood my ground and kept my cool. Leo looked uncomfortable and hid in my shoulder, I pat their head and turnt my body so they where blocked from the others by my torso and bills body.
"yes, it's I! The great and obviously not excited, Mason 'Dipper' 'Ursa' 'pine-tree' 'probably several other nicknames' Pines. Now all my fun is ruined and the last of the people I give a fuck about that are human hate me, I'm going to get will to help skin that imp from earlier. But first!"
I turnt to leo and held their cheeks.
"do you want a room here or do you wanna get a bubble like the other kids?"
I asked them and Leo rubbed their chin, I smiled and kissed their head.
"don't think to much on it now, cub, we can sort it out later, I'll get you a room for now and you can get some rest, okay?"
I spoke to them, completely ignoring all the others in the room as leo smiled, our constellations glowed together as they hugged me. Suddenly I jumped back, glad about Leo's grip on me as I nearly toppled backwards as I looked at Ford with furrowed brows.
"is there really a need to try and grab at me every time I show you something new? So strange."
I shook my head at him as he seethed and pulled ANOTHER gun out of his pocket. I held Leo behind me as I sneered at him, my ears going back.
"HOW MANY FU-fudging- GUNS DO YOU HAVE!"
I said, still wanting to save some innocents of leo, even if they knew all the curse words in the multiverse. Ford didn't seem to care about such things as he fired the gun, I immediately knew th bullet wasn't normal and quickly paused time. It was a good thing I did because bill was half way in front of me and very close to getting hit by the bullet. Fear washed over me like a tsunami as I stared at the scene before me. If I hadn't stopped time, he would have been hit by the bullet. Taking a moment I looked around at the rest of the room, will was still sprawled in his throne his torso leaning towards us, panic though his features, pyronica's fireball was inches from ford, Stan and Susan looked horrified at Ford's gun, pacifica was mid jump from the gunshot, having been staring at the ground, nate and Wendy where holding each other in horror as wendy reached out an arm, very close to being hit by the fire ball as well. I quickly moved bill out of the way and gave leo to him trotting to Nate and Wendy, pushing them to the side and away from danger. Taking a breath I turnt to mable to see her no longer glaring, instead she had a look of bland acceptance, sure it seemed less than stellar, but she seemed to accept something. Had she accepted the bullet would hit it's mark? That I'm not the same dipper I had been when we'd been twelve? Or is it the fact she realised there is no way out? I sighed and walked back to my place, staring at the bullet. It had glowing engravings and runes all over it, I knew every single one. In affect, it was a really poor attempted at a rune chain that would bind the shot to the shooter as slave and master. However I could see multitudes of screw ups and sneered at the haphazardly done work. Instead of doing what it was meant to, it would instead bind the two together, but make it so the only way either could die would be the death of the other. Rolling my eyes I summoned the imp from the cells and put him in the bullets war path instead. Starting time again I smiled at the confusion that was caused and giggled, earning attention from everyone as I dispelled the imp back to the cells.
"you are truly a delight, sixer. But you are terrible at runes."
He bared his teeth at me and fired again, this time I simply side stepped it and watched lazily as it hit a pillar.
"you don't even know what you fucked up on yet, aren't you curious at how screwed you are?"
I snarked , my tail flickering around to show my excitement. He paused the gun steaming as I lowered the rooms temperature, nodding to pyronica who quickly fled.
"you just joined you life force to that little imp, don't you wanna take a guess what the imps job is?"
I said, my eyes glowing green as all. In the room shivered, Will having regained his colours but now looking paler than the moon. As ford went to answer I spoke.
" that's my Lunch, sixer~"
I purred, watching him shiver and raise the gun again as I grabbed his neck.
"and if I let that little bastard live and tried to kill you, his immortality would cancel out any damage I do. You'd be trapped in that grouty old body till I finally decided to end him."
I smirked as he shivered in fear and from the freeze around us. I stopped all the cold in the room with a twitch of my wrist, only as it was killing my flowers.
"but, what can I say, you're beyond screwed. You can't ever do the cipher wheel again, you've early any people left and you also have nothing to your name but that old coat."
I smirked at him, walking over to Bill and helping the dream demon holding my sibling, up.
"well, I've had my drama time. Your turn, banana."
I chirped, his eyes flashed a dangerous orange but then he smiled down at my fondly.
"get them to their room, it's the door to the right in our room."
I nodded and kissed his cheek turning myself and Leo into a gust of wind and taking us to my room, reforming us and walking to the new door.
"leo, this'll be your room for as long as you want it. I'll finish teaching you about teleporting soon, you'll be ready to leave and go back to the throne room easier then."
Leo nodded sleepily.
"if you need something, just call. I only won't answer if I'm unable to, if you get hungry write in this for whatever you want, it'll appear."
Nodding leo flopped onto the bed and was immediately asleep. Rolling my eyes I smiled, shutting and locking the door they where in, the window open enough to let in some nice air. As I walked to the large sofa under the bookcase, waves of guilt reigned over me like a think syrup, sticking and stiffining every limb as I sat on the sofa, my body laid out as I stared down at the cushions. I didn't even look up to see who had walked into the room.
"s-starlight, I-is everything o-okay?"
Looking up to him I blinked and felt my lip quiver.
"I... Don't know."
"t-tell me."
Closing my eyes I pushed my face into my arms.
"is it worth it? Is it going to be worth it?"
"w-what? T-this-?" he gestured out the window. "o-or... Y-your F-family."
Shaking my head, I turnt myself human, putting myself into comfy clothes as my legs still shook. I would have cursed him had I not been so saddened by mable.
"I-I've never seen h-her glare l-like that! Not even a-at G-Gideon! S-she hates m-me, Will."
I cried, pushing my chest from the sofa with tears fleeing my eyes, black pools of stars cascading down to the cushions. Will looked shocked, then frowned, wiping my eyes as I sniffled.
"d-dear, s-she doesn't h-hate you. T-trust me, she's just stressed by it all. Come on, let's go back to the throne room."
Will said, his voice losing it's stutter as he spoke. I blinked, my senses heightened as I played dumb.
"w-why?"
The person seemed to forget who they where playing as they spoke to me.
"cause bill asked for us, obviously."
I hummed and nodded.
"sure, I'm going to the bathroom first."
I said walking into the room and shutting the door with a lock.
'will, bill, are either of you in the bedroom right now?'
'n-no? W-we are F-finishing up with t-the p-pines?'
I heard will say. My eyes flicked to the door.
'someone is pretending to be you up here will.'
I felt rage flow through the mental link from Bill and quivered.
'ill be their in 4 seconds.'
He said before I heard a knock on the door.
"c-come on d-dip, I-I wanna show u-you a new t-thing."
Tensing I bit my cheek before replying.
"just a minute."
I turnt the tap and splashed my face, rolling through who it could be. The shape shifter? No, it was as good as dead. A demon or imp? But they'd be stupid to do that. I sighed and dried my face, stepping and opening the door, I saw bill silently flash into the room, blood on his cheek as he looked at fake-will.
"so, what did you need to show me?"
I said, tilting my head. Walking towards the bookshelf, bill stayed just out of the fakes sight, glowering at them.
"w-well, b-bill and I w-wanted to t-thank y-you F-for your h-help. S-so we made you this."
They said, pulling a leather bracelet out of their pocket. I blinked at it and tensed, sensing the runes from a distance. They where decent, but still had mistakes, clearly someone had spent a long while on them. Letting my eyes glow I trapped their ankles in ice, swiping up my arm so it climbed up to their hips, immobilising them. Bill blinked in surprise and walked up to the person who had started to struggle.
"well, well, well. What's this?"
Bill reached for the bracelet but I used wind to push his hand away. He turnt to me confused till he saw the serious look on my face.
"who are you and who gave you that bracelet."
I snarled, using my wind to hold the bracelet in the air. The person rolled their eyes, turning into a handsome purple haired man, he had a bowler hat and a square eyepatch over his left eye, his right eye looked like that of a goats with a square pupil. He was in a three piece suit with a purple vest, black tail coat and dress pants and a white shirt. Bill looked enraged as he grabbed the person neck I brought the bracelet closer and glanced over the runes. It was another binding rune, but slightly different, some runes I didn't actively know. Tilting my head I summoned a book on demonic runes before turning back to the pair, turnt trio, who where glaring back and forth. Still floating I looked between them all.
"I feel as though Im being oblivious again."
"oh, don't worry, my dear. You're alright~"
The man in purple purred, I tensed, looking to my bonded who where staring down at him.
"Tad. What the fuck are you trying to do here? What are the runes on there?"
Tad in human form only smirked, eyes glowing with mirth.
"oh nothing, just trying to finish a deal."
Pouting I tilted my head, flipping open the book in my arms I flipped through till I found the page I needed. Gasping I dropped the book, my magic releasing the bracelet as it hit the floor. My eyes glowed in both fear and hate as I floated away from the bracelet as fast as I could. Will turnt to me and looked down to the bracelet, going to grab it only for my wind to push it out of his reach.
"do NOT touch that."
I said, staring at the leather as if hoping to burn it. Bill kept his eyes on Tad as will flew to me, the book open to the rune chain written on the bracelet. Will gingerly picked up the book and looked at the page, it took him not even five milliseconds to be act Tads Throat. The room was startled, Tad grasping at his throat as Bill floated to the book. My eyes never fully left the bracelet. So when I saw it slightly move my direction I incase it in ice. Bill was staring down at the page, his form slowly turning red as he snarled.
"this... This is 'La fausse lixiviation de la liaison'. This is beyond illegal in ALL realms. Tad Stange, give me one valid reason why I shouldn't turn you over to the council this very second."
He said, body glowing. Tad was about to splutter out an excuse when I saw the in casing ice crack.
"guys..."
Tad was still trying to speak as will relaxed his hand and turnt to me.
"I-it- b-blood t-t-track-"
My eyes widened as I heard the ice shatter, jumping to the left I see the bracelet smack against the wall and freeze it again.
"HOLY FUCK TARDS! what in gods ass are we going to do about that?!"
I yelled, watching the ice slowly crack again, Tads neck getting released as he fell to the floor choking.
"I-it's g-got F-fire p-protection r-runes..."
Bill looked about ready to murder someone, Will not far behind with more prominent worry as he watched the ice crack again.
"if I turn it into star dust it mighty just reform. I need to cut the runes themselves but it's beyond dangerous to do as my proximity to it must break it out of whatever magic we use to hold it."
I said turning my head for a second as will tackled me out of the way of the bracelets attempt to latch on my wrist. Bill held up his hand and held it in place.
"d-does it h-have to b-be y-you?"
"it's my blood, apparently. So most likely, it will kill anyone else who tries."
I said to will and I summoned a rune blade. Walking to it slowly I glanced at bill to see him holding up two hands now. I quickly stood in front of it and started to dismantle them, peice my peice. I got half-way through when it jostled at me, I ducked just in time for it to fly over my head. It cruved back around to latch on my wrist again only for will to hold up his arms.
"q-quick, s-starlight!"
Will said, I nodded and got through the other half the runes. My eyes glowed as I felt to magic inside the bracelet implode and disappate. I quickly nodded to will who lit it ablaze. As he did that I turnt to where Bill was and nearly took a step back, he and Tad were fighting around the bedroom havoc following. Grabbing Will I pushed his exhausted form into Leo's room and turnt back to the fight. Raising both my arms I slammed them back to the ground, Tad and Bill both hitting the floor, one harsher than the other. Bill sat up from the bed, where he'd landed and looked at me, his form still red as he sneered at me. Opening my mouth to question him I jumped as I was suddenly pushed into the wall, my face paled as I looked up at Bills angry eyes.
"WhaT tHE FuCk PiNEtrEe?!"
I shrunk back into the wall, glancing at Tads Rising form from behind Bill, my eyes widening as I went to speak. Bill held my cheeks and made me look at him, his eyes still glowing with rage.
"DoN'T lOoK aT hIM." he snarled, I saw Tads purple form getting thrown through a window as it fixed itself. "lOoK At Me."
He pulled me to him and kissed me as I blinked in confusion an let out a startled noise as he shoved his tongue down my throat. Whimpering I pushed his shoulder and gasped, leaning back as he removed himself from my lips. I blinked at the ceiling as I tried to catch my breath, squeaking as he kissed at my throat, my brain mushing as I held his shoulder.
"b-bill-"
"what?"
His voice was calmer but still had an angry edge.
"w-what are y-you d-doing?"
"you. Clearly."
