Then
"Wow! I never expected that to happen. So all that 'quirkless are allowed to participate' was a sham!" Reina exclaims in shock.
"I think so. But that one move sealed Eraser-Head's fate in a way", Seiran says as she sips her tea.
"Did Izuku kill him?" Reina asks with a bit of hesitation.
This question nearly causes the elderly journalist to choke on her tea and Naoki rushes towards his grandaunt with a glass of water and a hanky. After a minute of back rubbing, cleaning and what not, Seiran calms down a bit and asks, "What made you think that!?"
"I mean you hinted many times that Izuku has killed people. What's wrong with asking?" Reina asks in a deadpan voice.
Seiran blanches a bit and replies, "I mean yeah... But Izuku would not go far for him. Sure he was kinda quirkist, but Eraser-Head is still a good hero. He respects his work. He wouldn't go out of his way to off him... but..."
"But?" Reina asks back while squinting her eyebrows at the journalist.
"I wouldn't say that he didn't mess with him. Izuku sabotaged him many times. One time, the hero even helped him indirectly. And most of the time, Izuku never went out of his way to harm him. In fact Eraser-Head seeked Izuku out. But you can say that what Eraser-Head went through back then was hell of his own making. If he had allowed Izuku to attempt his exam, things would have gone differently", says Seiran.
"Well it's not that he knew Izuku would have passed or not. But for some reason, it felt very much personal", says Reina.
"Well who knows. Eraser-Head took that secret to his grave", Seiran replies back.
A moment of silence grows and finally Reina asks, "So, what now? Izuku didn't get to join the UA? What did he do?"
The elderly journalist leans forward and with a gentle but knowledgeable voice, she says, " 'When one door closes, another one opens' . Sure he failed here. But it was not over yet. And this time, a new opportunity literally knocked on his door".

Then
Izuku couldn't help but sigh and look at the ceiling that his room provided him. It has been two weeks since that UA incident and as soon as he came home, he quickly applied for other universities. He applied for Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu, Isamu and Seijin College. He would have applied to Seiai but considering the fact that it was predominantly a female college, he decided against it. But none of the answers he received were positive. It seems like every single college worked in tandem with each other, hence they already knew the fact that Izuku was not allowed to participate in the practical. If UA went out of its way to deny him, there must be something wrong with him right?
The answers varied from Isamu's polite 'I'm sorry' to Shiketsu's crude and brash 'You don't belong here' , and it was more than enough for Izuku to take the hint. Heck, he even went deep enough on the internet, just enough to not tap into the deep web to know about less known colleges and he was still getting rejected. He sighs for the eighteenth time and for a moment he wishes that all those colleges get sucked up into the ground.
Suddenly three rapid but light knocks ring through his room and Izuku looks up just in time to see the door to his bedroom open up and Oyabun peeking in. The elderly man looks at the green haired young adult and asks, "I'm not disturbing you right?"
The boy scrambles up and with a respectful voice, he says, "No sir! Please come in". The man comes in and takes a good look at his living quarters and Izuku was very glad that he made it his mission to clean his room everyday. The man hums in approval and he then sits at Izuku's desk, turning the chair to face him.
