Research Log: Project Quirk Singularity Prevention
Author: Midoriya Izuku

Abstract
This journal will serve as a detailed account of my research efforts to prevent the Quirk Singularity and ensure the long-term survival of humanity. The phenomenon of Quirks growing increasingly unstable across generations poses an existential threat to our species. Therefore, my primary objective is to develop a sustainable solution that will either neutralize Quirks or mitigate their destabilizing effects. This document will meticulously record each hypothesis, methodology, experimental result, and conclusion, forming a comprehensive archive to guide future researchers.
Purpose
The purpose of this journal is twofold:
To systematically track the development and refinement of my research methodologies. To create an enduring resource that may assist others, should I be unable to complete this project myself.
Scope
This research will encompass the following:
Historical analysis of Quirk evolution patternsBiological and genetic studies of Quirk mechanismsEngineering solutions for Quirk neutralization or stabilizationEthical considerations regarding the alteration or removal of Quirks
Methodology
Each entry will follow a standardized format:
Objective: Define the goal of the current stage of research.Hypothesis: Present the working theory or expected outcome.Procedure: Detail the experimental design or analytical approach. Results: Summarize data collected and observations made.Analysis: Interpret the significance of the results. Conclusion: Determine whether the hypothesis was supported or rejected and outline next steps.
Personal Note
While the tone of this journal will remain objective and grounded in scientific methodology, it would be disingenuous to deny the personal motivations that drive this work. My efforts are not born of ambition, nor of personal gain, but of a sincere and unwavering desire to protect the lives, hopes, and dreams of future generations. I believe that through persistence, compassion, and rigorous scientific inquiry, we can create a future where no individual will ever have to fear the burden of their own power — or the powers of others.
This work is dedicated, in part, to Dr. Kevin Laird. Your guidance, sacrifices, and vision continue to illuminate the path forward. This is for you.

Entry 1: The Shift Toward Anti-Lykozin Research
Date: July 10th, 2328
Today marks a pivotal moment in the direction of my research. I have formally ceased work on Neo-Lykozin, which aimed to enhance and stabilize Quirk factors, and have instead initiated development on a new compound — Anti-Lykozin, a regulator designed not todampen the quirk intensity to safer, sustainable levels.
This decision wasn't made lightly. Earlier this week, I received devastating news: Dr. Kevin Laird, my mentor and the reason I first pursued Quirk singularity research, has passed away. He took his own life, worn down by the repeated rejection of his findings by the scientific establishment. His death isn't just a personal tragedy — it's a warning, and a call to action.
