Additionally, I just want to thank you guys for taking the time to vote and comment on my books! Y'all don't know how much that means to me.

Also, in case you didn't know, it actually gives us authors a lot of motivation and strength to keep writing! <3

As multiple pairs of eyes watched the scene unfold before them, an awkward tension hung in the air.

Staring down at his friend, Aonung took a step toward him, his hands still interlocked with Lia's.

Intimidated, Luam immediately released her wrist and took a step back.

"S-Sorry," he apologized. "Your necklace, Lia... I still have it. I need to give it back to you."

Aonung's ears perked in interest when he heard this. For the whole day, he wondered why her neck was still bare. But how did Luam end up with her necklace in the first place?

He raised a questionable brow at his mate, who was looking at him with wide eyes. Then she averted her gaze to Luam.

"Um, thank you. You can hold on to it for now," she replied awkwardly.

"Are you sure? We can just go get it together really quickly. It's back at my Marui—"

"You heard her. That won't be necessary, Luam," Aonung interjected, his voice firm. "I'll come by your Marui later and pick it up from you."

Immediately, he clamped his mouth shut. While refusing to meet Aonung's eyes, he nodded in understanding.

"If that is all, I would appreciate it if you refrain from touching my wife. Make the same mistake again and you'll be missing a hand," he warned, his lips curling into a smile.

A chill ran down Luam's spine. As they watched Aonung and Lia walk away hand-in-hand, the group exchanged looks of horrid shock.

With her eyes fixed on his tall back, she was rendered speechless. Her mind was racing for a moment as she didn't know if he was being serious or just playing.

In a state of frozen inaction, Luam gulped nervously. As soon as he felt a hand on his shoulder, he jumped in fright. It was Neteyam.

"You alright, bro?" His voice was filled with concern.

Unable to speak, he simply nodded. Tsireya sighed as she looked at her best friend pitifully. This was exactly what she was trying to tell him the other day.

Aonung does not play around when it comes to Lia.

"Okay, now I see why you said I didn't have to worry about him," Loak whispered to Kiri, who rolled her eyes in response.
