As the sun set, the group sat in a circle to listen to Loak share about the encounter he had with a male tulkun, whom Tsireya and Aonung claimed was an outcast due to past murders.

"Well, he saved me. Payakan isn't a murderer like you guys said." Loak shook his head.

His refusal to believe their words were rooted in his direct communication with Payakan. Aside from bonding with the tulkun, he also knew its sorrowful past.

"Come, we must tell your father. I'm sure he will understand." Tsireya grasped his wrist in concern.

"No," he pulled his hand back. "My dad will never understand. You guys aren't listening."

Defeated, he stood up and walked away, avoiding Neteyam's grasp.

"No, Loak, I'm listening!" Tuk's small voice echoed behind him.

Lia sighed. When she thought her brother and Tsireya were on good terms again, this happened.

"You should go after him," she urged Tsireya, who nodded and chased after Loak.

She glanced over at Aonung as his gaze met hers. Her recent vision had left her wondering if she should share it with him.

She had been thinking about it for the past few days.

"What is it, baby?" He asked, searching her face.

"There's something I need to tell you."

"So, in this vision, you fainted?"

She nodded. "Yeah, and you carried me back to shore. I don't know why I fainted though."

"Alright." Aonung scratched his head. "Guess we'll just have to keep an eye on you for a while."

They were inside their Marui pod with their curtain draped over the entrance for privacy. She hadn't told anyone else about her vision.

He held a worried expression as he pressed her against his body, delivering a sweet kiss to her forehead.

"I'm sure everything will be fine," he reassured her.

It was clear, however, that those words were intended for him more than she. His overprotective nature had developed since her misfortunes a year ago.

Her arms wrapped around his torso as she kissed him on the chest.

"Lia?"

Their attention was drawn by Neteyam's voice outside their entrance as they exchanged glances.

"Yeah? We're here, Netty," she answered.

"Uh," he cleared his throat awkwardly. "Do you have clothes on?"

"What?" Her eyebrows creased together in confusion. "You can come in, you know."

"Okay, but like, do you have clothes on? Aonung's in there too right?"

As her mate raised an amused brow at her, she noticed a grin spreading across his face.
