Akko drearily woke up. She jumped up and quickly after she read the time.
"It's 7:20?!," Akko exclaimed. "I gotta leave early so I can study!".
She hurriedly got ready and grabbed her notes. However, she left Diana's book. Lotte tried to tell her, but it was too late.
"Wait, Akko you left-" Akko left before Lotte could finish. Lotte sighed in disbelief.
"I can't believe she left this!", commented Lotte.
"I can," Sucy stated.
Lotte flipped through the notes, wondering what other study materials she could use. Something particular caught her eyes.
"Sucy, come look at this!," Lotte pointed to the page.
It was Akko's name surrounded by hearts. Sucy leaned over to see.
"I can't believe it," Sucy is fell into a hysterical laughter. "I can't believe Diana, straight laced, top student, Miss perfect, Diana CAVENDISH would write something like that."
"Should we tell Akko or-", Lotte was cut off.
"No... don't. It'll be funny to watch Akko find out for herself," said Sucy in between bursts of laughter.
Akko was in the library. She wanted to study and prepare for her classes that morning. However, when she reached into her bag, she realized she had left Diana's notebook.
"Awww, man. I really needed that to study," Akko said, defeated.
She pulled out her notes. Diana also came into the library.
"I see you're actually studying for something," she commented.
Akko looked at her, jokingly annoyed. "What? Do you not expect me to want to pass this test?", Akko inquired.
"It certainly isn't like you to give up on your goals, so I suppose not," contemplated Diana.
"Yep, I've been studying every chance I get," Akko proudly proclaimed.
"I see you're also paying better attention in class," commented Diana.
"Why are you staring at me in class? That's kind of creepy," Akko teased as Diana became flustered.
"It's pretty obvious when you're falling asleep have of the time," Diana stated.
"I don't fall asleep THAT often," said Akko, defensively. "Name FIVE times that I've fallen asleep!".
"Hmmm... Last week, you fell asleep in history TWICE in one period, then two days later you slept in language and alchemy," Diana retorted.
"That's only four," mumbled Akko. She now remembered all the times last week.
Diana blushed and chuckled. "You should keep studying. Come to me if you want to study," she said as she left the table.
Akko's jaw dropped. She was ecstatic that she could now find an excuse to hang out with Diana.
Sucy and Lotte entered the library. As they passed by Diana, there was a muffled chuckle from Sucy. However, Lotte maintained her composure.
"Hey, I think you left something," Lotte held out the notebook.
"Oh, thank you, Lotte!", Akko exclaimed." I think I have a little bit more time to-", DING the bell interjected. She put the notebook in her bag and dashed to class.
Today's classes were no different than the others. Akko faced boredom from the mundanities from her classes, but she at least tried to stay awake. She hoped that focusing on academics would impress Diana or make her have a better view of her. Akko spent most her free time in the library. However, she frequently got distracted. Akko pulled out her Shiny Chariot fan book (even though she practically memorized it).
"The Fantastical Chronicles of Shiny Chariot: The Limited Edition," Akko whispered to herself.
"This video game only released for one week, but it sold out in only three days! The game entails an RPG through Shiny Chariots point of view. In the story, you must fight mystical beasts, explore the far lands, and hone your magical skills (based on the Shiny Chariot card game). The limited reviews of the game describe it has, 'magical', 'astounding', and 'wondrous. Considering the technology at the time, it has excellent graphics."
Akko was fascinated at the subject. She saw Professor Ursula in the library and ran up to her.
"Professor Ursula!", Akko yelled, but she was greeted with a hush from other students in the library.
"Professor Ursula, do you happen to have a copy of one of the limited edition chronicles?", Akko asked in a hushed tone.
"Hmmm... I'm not sure. I didn't keep a lot of the merchandise. Honestly, there was too much to keep up with, so probably not," the professor pondered at the question.
"Oh," said Akko in despair.
"But... you could check at the local stores. I've seen a few copies in stores," Professor Ursula mentioned.
"Oh, you're right," Akko remembered that the local game store hosts a rare game sells every now and then. "Thank you, Professor!", Akko waved goodbye as she headed towards her dorm.
As she entered the room, Lotte was doing homework, while Sucy was reading a medicinal book.
"Oh, Akko, something came in the mail for you," Lotte handed out a gaming magazine.
Akko gasped in excitement. She grabbed the magazine and ran through the pages.
"Junk, junk, old news, junk, have that one-," Akko gasped as she saw the page.
"The Fantastical Chronicles of Shiny Chariot: Limited Edition. Starting bid at $150."
Akko was giddy with excitement. If she passed the her class, she would be allowed to go into town. This gave her an additional motivation to study.
