Trapped.
Under 4 feet of sand, only breathing through a backup air tank provided in your backpack. In a large desert.
You might think no one would want to be in this situation, but for our lone protagonist, this was a situation from heaven.
And for good reason too.
You see this situation, was minor, compared to another situation happening on the surface.
A much worse and traumatic situation.
This is the tale of..
Team 561.
The feeling of the warm breeze of the desert hit my face like a rock. It stung slightly. But I didn't seem to care.
Sand surrounded us, mountains of sand, we were in the [REDACTED] desert of the [REDACTED] country.
We were a group of government sent desert soilders, searching for our targets, a group of terrorist like threats, hiding within the desert.
We were tasked with hunting this base down and neutralizing it, in any way we could best.
This seemed like a easy mission at first, but I underestimated the trip there.
The sun hitting my body was agitating, especially with the layers of clothing I was wearing, I absolutely hated it.
The other 10 desert soilders in the group, excluding the group leader, seem to feel the same also.
As I walked through the sand, I looked at a soilder I was walking next to, they looked back.
I'm friends with most of the soilders in this group so, it was easy to communicate with them.
".. what is it?" They asked me with a curious tone, wondering why I was looking at them.
"..its hot as f### here Oprah.. how much longer do we have?" I whined, they sighed and pulled out their pocket watch from one of their utility pockets.
"Not much longer flask.. about.. 23 minutes left." The soilder, seemingly named Oprah, Replied As I Sighed.
"That's too long for me.." I said with a tired voice as I looked over to another soilder.
"Ali! You got anymore water?" I asked, shouting slightly, the soilder, seemingly named Ali, shook their head, I sighed in disappointment.
I looked to another soilder, but just as I was about to complain about something again, I felt a hard bang to the back of my head.
"Agh!-" I quietly said in pain as I looked at what hit me.
Our team captain had hit me in the head.
"Stop complaining like a p###y, we're soilders, not b####s.." He said with a upset tone as i quickly nodded, not wanting to trigger his fury.
We continued walking through the sandy area, wondering what awaited at the base.
Though, as we walked. We randomly heard a warping like sound behind us, it sounded not natural.
