Story 34- That One Mission

Why is gamer making so many splatoon themed stories? Who knows..

Anyway.

In the distant lands of alterna, lied a familiar looking duo.

One went by the name of "Agent 12" but their real name was Solar.

Solar was a veteran agent, who had been working for the agency for awhile now.

They were currently accompanying a new recruit, The inkling next to solar, that went by the name of "Agent 3".

They had token the original agents 3's place, due to the original Agent 3 getting promoted to captain.

As these two traveled, they stumbled apon a lone tea kettle, they broke the lid off of the kettle and went into it.

Little did they know, this was going to be more then just a mission to get power eggs.

This is the tale of..

That One Mission.

The two inklings suddenly appeared in a sandy, wasteland like area, wondering why they hadn't been in the orca start area first.

The two looked around in pure confusion, agent 3 then looked at solar, wanting to ask something.

"..uhm.. solar, has this happened to you before..?" Agent 3 asked quietly.

"..no it.. hasnt?" Solar replied in a quiet voice, still flabbergasted by the weird change in environment and starting.

Though, a sudden distant thudding made their thoughts pause.

The two then heard a yell from their radio.

"RUN, THIS ISNT THE REAL STARTING AREA! ITS A TRAP!" Callie's yells were heard from the radio.

The two quickly looked behind them, to their shock, they saw a horde of fuzzy enemies, charging right towards them, inching closer by the second.

The two immediately made a run for it, they didn't even look back, they just kept running.

They were both terrified.

"W.. WHATS GOING ON SOLAR?!" Agent 3 yelled in pure fear.

"I.. I DONT KNOW! THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE 3's?!" Solar yelled back, equally as scared as agent 3 was.

As they were running, they were both suddenly hit with a shot of orange ink, it injured them both.

But, it enabled the zipcaster ability for them both.

"WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" Solar yelled in confusion.

"I GAVE YOU BOTH THE ZIPCASTER ABILITY, THERES A FLOATING PLATFORM UP AHEAD!" Callie yelled from the radio. "USE YOUR ABILITY TO GET UP THERE! AND DONT MESS UP!"

The two started to see a floating platform appear in the distance of the sandy wasteland, it was concrete, square platform.

"LOUD AND CLEAR!" Agent 3 replied.

"GOT IT!" Solar also replied.

As the two got closer and closer to the platform, the fuzzy enemies were also getting closer and closer.

The two then got into close range of the platform and used their ink grapple ability to get atop the platform.

Solar made it up onto the platform, the inkcaster ability wore off quickly after.

Though, agent 3 grappled onto the side of the platform accidentally, their ability wore off.

"AH-"

As Agent 3 was about to fall, he grabbed onto the edge with one hand, dangling from the platform.

"3'S!" Solar yelled as he grabbed Agent 3 and pulled him up the platform.

The two then sat down onto the platform, the crowd of fuzzy enemy's passed from bellow them.

They were both out of breath from the adrenaline rush they had both experienced just now.

"...you .. ok 3's?" Solar asked, semi concerned.

"Yeah.. just traumatized.." Agent 3 replied with a shaky voice.

"Trust me, there's worse pal.. you'll get used to this stuff.." Solar said in a comforting voice as he patted agent 3's head.

"Ok.. let's go then.." Agent 3 said as he got up, Solar got up also.

The two then looked around the floating platform, they noticed that there was a secondary floating platform near them, it was a bit far, but far enough to jump to.

The two shot the floor with their ink guns, shooting both their platforms and the next.

They then turned into their squid forms and swam over to the next tile.

Once they landed on the tile, it started to move, it was hovering over to a very large, metal platform.

They wondered why it was doing this, but they stayed silent for the ride.

Once the tile reached the metal platform, they jumped off, landing on the metal platform.

They then walked forward.

"Hey, wait a minute! Look!" Agent 3 said joyfully as he pointed towards something, solar looked at what agent 3 was pointing at.

It was a orca made goal,it was in the close distance of them, it seemed this was they're way out.

"Oh thank God-"

A loud growl was heard behind them.

They turned around.

Behind them lied.. a dog?

Infront of them lied a German Sheppard looking dog, it was staring at them, drooling.

". . . You don't think it wants to...?" Agent 3 asked very quietly.

"...it looks hungry.." Solar replied.

The German Sheppard then suddenly jumped onto agent 3, it started aggressively biting agent 3.

"AHHHHH! SOLAR HELP ME!!!" Agent 3 yelled In pure pain as he fell to the ground from the weight of the German Sheppard.

Solar grabbed their splat gun and shot the German Sheppard with it, the German Sheppard fell off agent 3.

It shook off the ink that was on it and started whining.

The two were confused.

"...I think it knows we arnt food now.." Solar said quietly as he slowly approached the German Sheppard.

The German Sheppard backed up a bit, it was now afraid of the two.

Once Solar got close enough to it, he pet it.

The German Sheppard stopped backing up, it stared at solar in confusion.

It then licked solar.

"Oh, hehe!" Solar said with a slight joy in his voice.

"I.. is it nonehostile?" Agent 3 asked with a shaky voice as solar nodded.

"A.. alright good-"

The German Sheppard then started licking agent 3.

"Oh, hehe!- Hey!" Agent 3 said with slight joy in his voice, he pet the German Sheppard.

"..alright, let's leave this place.." Solar said as he walked towards the goal.

"Wait! What about the dog?" Agent 3 asked.

"Bring it with us, we'll find something to do with it." Solar said as agent 3 just nodded and casually picked up the German Sheppard.

The two then walked to the goal and completed the level.

To this day they still wonder what had even happened in that level..
