My mind would start to race as id quickly sprint through the sand trail of the town, desperately trying to get to BlancBlack Castle before Macarona lost all her blood.

It was almost pitch black outside, I could barley see but I didn't care at all. All I wanted was to make sure she'd be ok.

She had to be ok.. right? There's no way I'm letting her die!

It felt like I was getting no where as I ran and ran through the sand trails leading to the castle.

I couldn't tell if the trail was only getting longer and longer the more I ran, but it sure looked like it was-

Wait.

Was It getting longer? I don't remember it being this long of a path to the castle!

I'd pause my running, staring at the path in pure confusion.

"What's.."

Looking up, I'd notice a big difference in the sky, it was a red pink color.

It was like something had changed the sky color while I'd been sprinting over to BlancBlack Castle.

"Erhm.. don't have time for another invasion right now!" I'd brush off the sudden sky change with a shaky and exhausted voice, continuing my hurried running.

Despite the path ahead only growing more long in my vision, I'd still continue. Hoping to eventually get to the Castle.

I could hear my heart suddenly start to beat faster as I started to hear the sound of Macarona's voice. It sounded like a old record player that was slowly getting louder and louder.

At first I assumed it was Macarona herself, I quickly looked down to check on her, but she hadn't waken up.

At that moment, I realized the voice wasn't coming from her.. it was coming from my head.

Her voice was from random past memories I had with her. Even though her voice was coming from my mind, it's volume was so clear that it felt like she was talking right next to me..

I'd look back up, trying not to look at her lifeless state. I'd feel tears start to form in my eyes, the longer I heard her voice the more I wanted to start sobbing because of what I did.

A heavy guilt went over me, one that I felt like I hadn't felt before. I started to talk to myself quietly as I struggled to keep running.

"Macarona.. please wake up.."

"I'm sorry for biting you, I should've listened to you.."

The voices started to get very, very loud. The stinging in my chest only got worse and worse the louder it got.

I could feel tears rolling down my face, my vision infront me started to get darker and darker. The only thing I could hear was the sound of my own voice and the sound of hers.

"I never wanted to hurt you.. I'm so sorry.."

"Please just, wake up Macarona!"

My voice got even more shaky as I spoke, i felt like a static was growing in my chest, getting bigger and bigger the longer I tried to get her to wake up.

I desperately called out for her more and more, begging for her to respond one of the time's I called out.

"Please Macarona! Please!"

"I don't know what I'd do without you!"

Her voice was now ear achingly loud, I could feel my ears burning from the volume.

I wanted it to stop, I wanted this all to just be a bad dream.

Why can't it just be a bad dream, why won't it just end..

Why! Why won't she wake up!

"Please.. stop it.. stop!"

"Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!-"

Crash!

"Gah!-"

Thump.

"..."

I'd look up, grabbing onto my head in pain.
Seemed I had slammed into the BlancBlack Castle Door.

It was dead silent, not a single voice around.

"..what.."

I'd quickly look around, realizing that the red pink sky had completely disappeared along with Macarona's voice. Everything was just back to normal like nothing had ever happened.

I sat there for a moment, wiping the tears off my face as id gather myself up. What exactly just happened?

As I was processing, I realized that I was still holding Macarona.

".. whatever! It's fine!" I'd say to myself quietly, still being shaken up from what happened.

I'd slowly get up from off the ground, but as I was about to open the door, it opened for me.

"Eh?-"

"Rawberry..?"

I'd pause, looking into the open door to see who had opened it.

Wait.

It was Etihw!

"Etihw! Please help!" I'd ask her urgently, showing her Macarona. Etihw's eyes seemed to widen with suprise and terror apon seeing Macarona.

"What?!- oh no.."

Etihw would immediately pick up Macarona from my arms, looking down at her for a moment before looking back at me.

"What happened!?" Etihw asked me, pure terror in her voice.

"I- I bite her too hard and she's really hurt!" I'd respond in a panic. "Can you heal her! She's bleeding out!"

Etihw's face faded from pure terror to pure concern and shock when she heard what i said. She slowly looked down at Macarona once more before looking back at me.

She then took a deep breath, giving me a cold yet sympathetic stare.

"Rawberry.."

"She's dead.."

...

W.. What?

"Wait.. what?" I was in pure confusion, so much so that the shock factor was taking a bit to hit me. "There's no way she's dead.."

"She is.. I suspect she's been dead for short while now.." Etihw explained to me with a slightly shaky voice, softly grabbing me by the shoulder.

Wait.. so.

Was i..

...

"Was.. was I carrying her dead body.." My face would slowly fade to pure terror and Melancholy as I spoke, realizing that I might've been carrying the corpse of my best friend all this time.

Etihw would take a few moments before responding, seemed she was at a loss of what to do in this situation but was trying to keep me calm.

"I'm.." Etihw would hesitate a bit before finishing her sentence, "I'm afraid so.."

...

...

No.. No that can't be..

No i.. No..

"No.. No.. no no no NO!-"

Without thinking, I'd suddenly charge away from Etihw. Quickly sprinting away from the Castle.

I didn't wanna accept it, there was no way!

Etihw tried to stop me, but by the time she was about to speak I had already ran far away from her.

She just stared at the sight, wondering why and how this could've happened.

"..."

She had no word's, she just carried the body inside, closing the door slowly behind her.

Silence filled the nighttime once more.

It was like the calm before the storm, nobody knew yet.

Until the morning came..
