Tom's POV

The more I thought about this Situation the more questions I had in mind. Normally a person would carry a rope so late at night to kidnap someone or something like this. But Jon wouldn't do this, he is to weak and probably not smart enough to be able to kidnap someone. Also he doesn't seem like the kind of person that would do this. Another reason why someone would carry a rope so late at night would to make a noose out of it to kill oneself, but Jon wouldn't do this....or would he?

I mean I saw that Eduardo often punched him, called him names and so on. But would he really go this far to do something to him that could leave him so scarred that it would lead him to kill himself? I mean Jon got almost killed back then by the missle that this stupid communist had shot in his direction and Edd told me that Eduardo cared about him and even cried over him. He thought that Jon would die in the hospital and grieved about him every day. From what I saw he as well as Mark seemed upset and sad about their friend who was fighting for his life.

Eduardo would even pass us at the street on a few occasions where Mark has forced him to go outside to distract himself and he wouldn't even call us anything nor look at us. He would just walk past us with his arms crossed and his red and fuffy eyes stuck on the floor as he took slow steps forward.

I mean how could they after all the time that passed by where they were grieving and fearing for the life of their friend do something that would harm him to an extent in which he is willing to end his own life after almost losing him a few months ago? Maybe I am just being paranoid and he is doing something else here, but from his gaze and the way that he was holding this rope it seemed as if he was determined to do something horrible to himself. I could be wrong, but something tells me that I am right with my thought. My intuition never betrayed me before, so why should it betray me now.

So I decided to follow him. I sneaked behind him while leaving a big enough gap between us so that he wouldn't grow suspicious and let him move on with whatever he was going to do. This went on for ten minutes and so and then he finally stopped in a park full of trees. He looked up to a tree that was in front of him and then decided to look around the park to see if there was anyone else in this park. Thankfully I was able to hide behind a tree before he looked around this Park.

Then it happened, he took the rope, tied it with a lot of attempts then finally in a noose and tied this noose to a branch of the tree. In order to reach the branch he used a big trunk of a tree that he had already placed in front of the tree. He stood on this trunk and like this he was able to tie his noose to this branch.

Then he stopped for a moment and just stood there with his gaze up into the sky. He was probably thinking whether this was a good idea or not. I assumed that this could be the Moment where he would undo what he has done and walk back to his home, but I was wrong.

He stood there while tears were running down his cheeks and smiled, before he then placed his head into the noose and took a step forward. I started to panic and rushed towards Jon while he was gasping out for air. I held him up and was able to do so because of how light he was, way lighter than a person of his height should be. And then I remembered that I had a pocket knife in my hoodie pocket, so I used it to cut the rope. Jon who was already pale and losing his conscious fell limp into my arms. I placed him carefully on the ground and checked if he was still breathing. Thankfully he was still alive.
