A long, winding, dark hall, with nothing but their footsteps, and the flickering sound of flame. Aidan had lit a small spark in front of him and DriDo to light the way forward.

"So, does this hallway usually go this long?" Aidan asked.

"No, we should've been there by now." DriDo responded.

"Hmm... We're totally in some fuckin' weird ass pocket dimension right now, aren't we?"

"A Pocket Realm?"

"Yeah, those things."

"A Pocket Dimension is something much more grand, like the mansion we were just at."

"Sorry, I've had to learn all of this within two days, so, y'know."

"Yeah, I get that. I didn't really get it either when I started my training."

"You just learned about this?"

"Oh? No, not that training, my bad. I've been training, or studying, rather, since I was young. Proper etiquette, the right diction to use, the correct way to converse with the literal gods above you. It's a lot, y'know?"

"It seems that you've dropped your etiquette about fifty or so feet back."

"It's not gonna help here, is it?"

"Fuck no." Aidan responded. "Y'know, I feel ya. Since I came out the womb, my dad forced me to learn shit, how to tell if someone is lyin', how to throw a fist properly, how to talk down to others, how to dodge pointblank gunfire, how to speak Japanese-"

"No no, hold up, pointblank gunfire?!"

"Yep, real fun learnin' that at age seven."

"SEVEN?!"

"I've been through a lot. At the ripe ol' age of nine, my piece-of-shit, deadbeat, good-for-nothin', waste-of-DNA, money-hoardin', piss-guzzlin', shit-sniffin' sister-ignorin', fuckin dad left me alone with my sisters and some maids or some shit." Aidan spoke with a calm fury.

As the two talked about their upbringings within rich families, a slight buzz started to emerge. Aidan immediately snuffed the flame and pushed DriDo against a wall.

"Hey wha-" DriDo was shushed by Aidan. Aidan closed his eyes within the dark and sensed with Therm. After a second, he detected body heat of someone at the end of the hallway in front of them.

"Stay here for a sec." Aidan whispered as he crouched down and quickly approached the mysterious person. The dreaded stench filling the air, the quiet steps Aidan made as he stepped closer and closer, until he was right before the person. He went for the neck, about to wrap his arms around them before it clicked in his head.

Wait, why is there this random person in the middle of this dark ass hallway? Even if they can use Therm, they would at least be movin'! I didn't even conceal my own heat... FUCK

"DRIDO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM THAT WALL!" Aidan screamed.

Lights flickered, bringing dim light to the hallway, or rather, giant room as the walls fell apart, causing DriDo to fall over. Vines receding downwards, revealing the large nest. Hundreds of egg sacs, broken furniture and boxes supporting the hatcheries, covered in a paper-like sheet, plants hanging from chandeliers, with bulbs emitting a faint glow. The sounds of buzzing filling the air as a foul stench of musty, dying plants flooded Aidan's senses. Hundreds upon hundreds of heat signatures lined up Aidan's Therm, dotting all around him. The ceiling, the floor, the walls, everywhere. The person that Aidan grabbed was simply a bundle of vines with heat pulsing through it. He dropped it on the ground.
