"Good morning everyone, this is your captain speaking. We are about to land in New York City at the JFK International Airport." spoke a man over the intercoms. Aidan yawned solemnly, tired from his flight.

"Did you have to stay awake during an entire midnight flight?" Grim asked him from the back of his mind. "I sleep when you sleep, man."

"I dunno. Probably stress."

"Fair enough." Grim responded. "So, who's this cousin of yours?"

"His name's Dominick Cadell. He's a little over a year younger than me, and he lives in the worst place in this country."

"And you're the son of one of the richest men in the world?"

"Yep."

"So, is he a cousin on your moth-"

"Uncle Murdock is my father's brother."

"Oh, how in the hell-"

"My father left him in the dust and let him rot."

"What does your uncle do for a living?"

"I dunno, never asked him." Aidan leaned back in his chair as the plane landed.

"Why not?"

"I haven't seen him in over five years."

"Hmm." Grim stepped back.

The conversation between the two ended as the plane landed. Aidan grabbed his small bag and hopped off, making his way out of the airport. He stepped by a large window, beaming down the bright sunny sky upon him. His reflection stood in the window, his coat no longer the dark and armored jacket that it was hours ago. Swiftly making for the exit, Aidan entered the streets of New York City.

"How much farther do you need to go?" Grim asked.

"The Rockefeller Single is a secluded island, located off the bays of New York City. This shithole is where they send all of the superpowered criminals to live. That, and the poor. New York is way more expensive than it has any right to be, after all."

"Okay, I know that, you already told me-"

"And as such, the only way over is by boat."

"So you need to catch another ride?"

"I can't. For some reason, the ferry's closed."

"So, we gonna swim over, huh?" Grim questioned sarcastically.

"Nah, I'm just gonna jump over the water." Aidan responded.

"I... Fair enough." Grim admitted with defeat in her voice. "You are a god, after all."

"But, before that, I'm gonna check the news on Rockefeller."

"Alright."

Aidan wandered through the streets of New York a little as he looked up the news of Rockefeller on his phone.

"Hmm, that's weird." Aidan said aloud.

"The island's closed?" Grim asked, peering at Aidan's phone through his eyes. "Why?"

"Series of disappearances, sanctioned... Two years of this?"

"And a hooded vigilante zipping around the place, fighting criminals?"

"You think after two years, he'd find somethin'." Aidan commented.

"Yeah, he's gotta be pretty oblivious if he's been messing it up for two years."

"Or maybe he's just been ignorin' it, someone might even be hidin' it from him."

"What makes you say that?"
