DDio quickly rushed towards Aidan, but the boy stepped to the side and knocked him over with his foot. Flipping onto his hands and pushing himself into the air, DDio slammed down onto Aidan, pinning him on the ground.
"Let me go, old man!" he shouted.
"You need rest, Aidan! Your body is burning to a crisp right now, and the only way to fix it is rest."
"Just have Krystal heal me!"
"And have her overload like you?"
"I don't care, I can't stay in bed doin' nothing! That piece of shit took my sister, damn it!"
"Aidan!" Sylvia shouted at him, looking down at the unsightly boy. "Calm down! You're obviously not well!"
"And what would you know?!"
"Every word that comes out of your mouth is followed by a bellow of smoke! That isn't normal!"
"I'm not normal, Syl!" Aidan screamed. "I've been thrown to the damn wolves!"
"DDio, let him get up."
"But Miss Sylvia-"
"Just let him, I know how to deal with this." Sylvia instructed. Following her order, DDio let go and Aidan instantly bolted up. Sylvia punched him square in the gut, causing him to recoil in pain and fall over. "Now calm down!"
"Do you..." Dominick looked over from behind Sylvia. "Do you two normally do this?"
"I'm best friends with his older sister, things like this are normal between us."

Aidan lied on the floor of his mind, Grim turning the page of a magazine right next to him.
"Did I just get-"
"Yeah, your friend knocked you out."
"Syl, that bitch!" he shouted. "When I-"
"Calm down, Aidan. You're fine. She's fine."
"But I can't just-"
"Sit here and do nothing? Aidan, your organs are literally on fire. You can't even fight a deity, let alone an Elemental. And the Pale Lady? Angelina? Please, she'd kill you before you could blink."
"So I should just sit here and do nothin'?!"
"Yes." Grim answered, putting down her magazine. "Aidan, you're not the only one fighting Drew. It's okay if you lay down and rest. Your body needs it."
"Damn it..." Aidan clenched his fist. "Damn it all..."
"Come on, get up." Grim extended her hand. "That cousin of yours is worried."
"Heh." Aidan chuckled as he grabbed Grim's hand, rising back to his feet.

Opening his eyes, Aidan saw the eternally autumn field of the park around him. He found himself laid onto a bench, with Dominick watching over him as Sylvia grilled DDio for answers.
"Guys, he's awake!" Dominick called out.
"You idiots brought me to Pepper Park?" asked Aidan as he clenched his head and sat up. Leaning on the back of the bench, he looked up at the afternoon sky. Sylvia stomped over and grabbed Aidan by the shoulder.
"I want answers, Aidan! What happened during those three days?! Where's Deanna?! Why are you coughing up smoke?!" her grip squeezed Aidan's shoulder hard, but he brushed her hand aside with ease.
"Alright, I'll tell ya." Aidan responded. "I became a god, Deanna got kidnapped by an evil god, and I fought against one of the strongest beings alive in the entire multiverse a few hours ago."
