"Insomnia? Understandable. I'll be there in a sec." Jett ended the call with a smile on her face, grabbing her stuff with her before looking from left to right of the hallway, checking if it was safe and clear. Once it was, she swiftly dashed to Chamber's door, knocking in a pattern that only they knew.

A familiar knock was heard, catching his attention and she was welcomed by a middle-aged, Frenchman in his plain, white bathrobe with nothing underneath. "Sheesh." Chamber rolled his eyes at her comment and let her in, closing the door right behind him, locking it.

"I will be taking a shower first. You can sit and relax on my bed." Jett already knew what to do as they have been doing this ever since the first week they met. It was one of her favourite things to do late at night; other than make midnight snacks, of course.

The sound of his showerhead turning on put her at ease. Chamber's bed was a favorite of hers as well ㅡ its softness made her feel like she was floating on the clouds, just right and perfect. Tonight was something they've always done when one didn't want to sleep with a heavy heart and chest; especially if they're overthinking.

Once Chamber had finished showering, Jett pulled out her phone to play music while waiting. The moment the older stepped out, her eyes glued onto his physique while a playfully smirk crept its way up his gace. "I understand that I look good but I wonder how a certain someone will feel if they knew about this."

"About what?"

"This." Chamber pointed at the both of them, back and forth before combing his hair and drying it, ruffling his hand through his hair before fixing it again. "What? Am I not allowed to appreciate someone's body?"

"You are but don't be disrespectful. It looked like you were thinking of doing something." Jett smirked at what he said, raising an eyebrow at him. "Hm, I mean, I am looking respectfully."

"You know that's not what I meant, wind girl. Just to be clear, I'm not into younger women ㅡ specifically ten years younger, nor are you my type." Chamber couldn't help but chuckle at what she said but he had to clear the air, emphasizing on the age gap between them ㅡ just in case things were to happen. "Plus, you already have someone planning on pursuing you." The older opened his huge walk-in closet and closed it after going in for him to have privacy while putting on his expensive sleepwear - another same set of the one he previously wore.

A sigh escaped Jett's lips, taking out her other phone for games while Chamber got on his phone, opening a game before sitting beside her. A familiar hum sang in the background as the loading screen proceeded to update, downloading a few things before giving them the permission to enter the game.

"How are you so sure about that? He barely looks at me. He's always with Raze and Killjoy. He even asks Reyna to train with him, along with Skye but never me. And if he ever does, it'd be for a short period of time!" Jett started to pout as she explored through the game's map, farming for resources to build a character that she just pulled last night. The younger was worried about her love life despite being in the protocol. "You do know that Raze and Killjoy are dating, right? Plus, Reyna's just doing her own thing." Chamber reminded her as he requested to join in her world, helping her with quests and commissions.

"And?"

"They're loyal to each other and they're gay."

"Okay, then, what if he's gay as well?" Chamber held in his smile and laughter, pausing the game they were both playing. "What?" But failed seconds later.

Embarrassment coated her whole body and face, slowly turning red at Chamber's laughter. She might've been interested in someone else but she couldn't deny that the man beside her was very attractive despite his confidence that seemed like arogancy at first. Dammit.
