"The Valorant protocol protects those who needs protection." Brimstone started explaining what the Valorant protocol was made for and what it consisted of, the meaning of their missions along with trainings and recruitment.

All of the agents had been called to his office, leaving John alone inside the clinic on Cypher's watch. The old man's camera was used as a projector, presenting to him what was going on through the lens as well as the audio.

Skye scoffed and rolled her eyes at their leader's words, still frustrated at his decision. Yoru playfully nudged her arm as a distraction, making her crack a small smile before whispering. "Let's hit the gym after this."

Brimstone's method of beating-around-the-bush whenever something happened that he barely wanted to talk about irked Sabine ever since they arrived at the protocol. Despite only meeting him today, Sabine had an idea on the kind of leader he was. "What did those armed men want?"

A certain question made Brimstone stop from explaining any further, feeling such haste from the lady made him gulp. "Let's get straight to the point. What did they want?" Their leader couldn't bring himself to speak, instead, Sage did.

"You. For whatever reason, you. Cypher is still trying to figure out why. We will get to you as soon as we can once we've figured it out."

Why would they want me?

"But that wouldn't change a thing if I want to get back at them, right?"

From what Brimstone have heard from Sage, he repeated to Sabine as an explanation. An attempt to recruit her as well. "Getting back at them means getting involved in their plans from our perspective. You're going to get involved with our plans, decisions and missions. Meaning, you will be a part of the Valorant protocol. Radiant or not, you will be."

Reyna leaned a bit more into the wall, not removing her gaze from Sabine who kept her back straight, focused on Brimstone and on her decisions.

"There are risks once you've accepted our offer and have been recruited. Your life, your privacy, your fellow agents and you." Brimstone continued, trying to edge the lady to see if she was ever to back down.

"Are you willing to take risks with and for us?"

"Yes." No hesitation was heard in her voice. She was determined to give them the same treatment, whether or not by herself or with the help of others. Preferably, herself. "All I want is for Kingdom to crush down into the deepest depths of hell."

Brimstone couldn't help but sigh at her words, accepting one into their protocol might be a bit of a problem but with her determination, he was sure they could depend on her.

"If that's the case, you'll have to change your appearance, use a different name, wear a different clothing, train with us; anything you can do to keep your privacy safe from them."

"I understand." Sabine understood everything. She knew what she was going to get herself into.

Chamber glanced at Cypher and Brimstone before raising an eyebrow, giving them a secretive look that had a meaning.

"Welcome to Valorant, Sabine."

A pair of sorrowful eyes scanned the room they were in, looking away from the screen. Confusion and anger filled up his heart, trying his best to at least remember one moment in his life.

I feel so alone and sad. Everything's painful.

John felt pain in every part of his body. Every move he made, every breath he took, not even relief washed over him for a second.
