With her mind still on John, worrying about him and the condition he was in, ideas for obliterating Kingdom barely came to mind. Silence wrapped around her like a warm blanket in a cold, winter night. Sadness and anger became her friends overnight.

The windows in her close were closed by her, not wanting anymore of the night breeze that seeped into her room. A sigh quietly escaped her lips, letting herself cry to sleep, images of the previous incident repeating in her head, not wanting to leave.

The morning after, the doctor's eyelids felt heavy due to it being swollen from crying. The Sun's warm, bright rays softly shone on her hand that had a few scratches, slowly healing. An annoyed groan left her lips, noticing how she fell asleep in her outside clothes. Sabine's hair started to have its own style; a few strands falling on her forehead while some stood up ㅡ she was a mess.

Dreams had always been either mellow, meaningful or plain boring ㅡ meaning just pure black and that she couldn't remember if she had a long night in the hospital. But this time, she had a nightmare

Weird.

Sabine tried to ignore any flashing images of her nightmare from last night, shaking her head by doing so. She sniffled as she got out of bed, feeling a bit different on her feet and made her way over to the kitchen, opening the fridge only to be met with an empty one. Shit

Just as Sabine was about to go back inside her room to gather herself up, a knock on her door was heard, calling out her name. "Sabine!" The middle-aged lady rolled her eyes, not wanting to interact with anyone early in the morning. Judging from the energetic tone of their voice, Sabine knew it wasn't Sage.

The lady let herself be the judge and opened the door, startling the others with her piercing gaze. "Good morning. Just thought we'd bring you some snacks and drinks since you just got recruited." Raze flashed her a bright smile, showing rows of straight teeth as she placed an arm around the other's shoulder.

"And probably have no food in the fridge!" Killjoy finished her girlfriend's sentence, Raze, giggling right after while having her hand out for Sabine to accept the plastic bags they both had in their hands. The two were in their casual clothing, as if planning to go on a date together."So? How's it going?"

"Terrible." Sabine was surprised at how thoughtful they were as she was only able to reply with a single word.

A chuckle left Killjoy's lips, adjusting her glasses as she glanced at Raze then back to Sabine. "Well, you can join us in the cafeteria if you'd like." Sabine opened her mouth to reject the offer but was cut off. "And here," Killjoy politely asked Raze for her wallet that was placed inside her fanny pack in which Raze was carrying. "Money. To buy whatever you want. You don't owe me anything."

A quiet thank you was heard from the taller. As soon as money was given to her, Killjoy and Raze bid their goodbyes and walked away from her door to the cafeteria with everyone. Sabine stared at the pile of money and plastic bag held in her hands.

Now what?

After minutes of thinking and deciding, Sabine went with the second ㅡ go to the cafeteria and save the food Killjoy and Raze had given her.

It wouldn't hurt meeting everyone while eating, right? The lady stacked up everything she received inside the refrigerator.

Surprised that it was running this whole time but also thankful for it yet wondering how they paid for such bills. The older had washed up herself, thinking whether or not to change back into the pajama set Chamber had given her that night. Without having a choice, she wore the set, hesitant about the impression she was going to make.
