The city lights had started to light up one by one with its colors and unique lighting while the Sun slowly set, producing a gradient of pink and orange hues in the sky. Cars had started to fill in the roads as hardworking employees were on their way home after a long day at work. Car horns were blown out of exhaustion and frustration, drivers only wishing for the lights to turn green all through their drive to be able to rest as soon as possible.

Post-secondary campuses began to shut down except for their all-night libraries that contained sleep-deprived students. Other students began to cross the streets, heads turning left and right while some had conversations with their friends. Lampposts at parks were soon lit up to brighten up the somewhat hidden paths to avoid any accidents or injuries.

Coffee shops, fast food restaurants, malls, and every place that provided comfort, food, and hospitality had been crowded with people who searched for certain things to get through the day. Exhausted sighs escaped people's lips upon smelling the scent of freshly-brewed coffee.

Through the city lights, Sabine held in her smile as shopping malls and expensive stores came to view. It had been a while since shopping was on her mind. All she ever did before was get up early in the morning, get dressed, have coffee, go to work, and endure the stares she received from other people for her strong and bold appearance. A few more stores appeared, and it had only hit her, Chamber loves to live the lavish life.

Judging from the clothes he wore daily and the ones he lent to Sabine, he must've been raised with a silver spoon. With such manners; to top it all off.

No wonder why he knew how to treat women with such respect. Maybe he lived a prestigious life back then before becoming a Valorant agent.

Sabine kept the thoughts inside her head and paid attention to the view presented to her by the city. Nights like this barely came to mind if you had a patient's life lie on your hands. A single surgery can completely change a person's life or end it.

Other than that, hospitals were nothing much other than a tall building with overworked workers and in-need-of-help patients.

The more they passed by the stores, the more expensive they got. One word came to mind after getting flashed by limited edition jewelries made out of gold and pearls - budget. Despite being a doctor and being paid enough to breathe comfortably while also not worrying about rent or groceries, Sabine knew how to save money, limiting herself with a certain budget. But as for Chamber, she didn't know anything about his.

"Chamber." Sabine called out his name, eyes still on the stores that she only saw for a second as they continued to pass by, completely entering a much richer neighborhood.

"Oui?"

"What's your budget?"

Silence engulfed the two adults. No responses were made, and instead, Chamber had a smirk plastered on his face, entertained at the question.

A single glance at the rear view mirror where she caught a glimpse of his smirk, eyebrows burrowing in curiosity.

Don't tell me he doesn't have one.

"So, what is it?"

"You'll find out later on, mademoiselle. A man never reveals how much money he has in his bank account." Chamber's voice dripped with confidence before entering a parking lot in front of a huge, high-end mall that had tight security outside of every store. Gigantic, shining, gold, and silver chandeliers hung above them as they entered the mall. Their gunman had led the doctor led inside after politely asking for his hand to hold hers in which she complied, tightly holding his. Automatic doors slid in, letting them walk inside while being greeted by three bodyguards that stood tall, only giving them a small nod in acknowledgment.
