3 : MAHOBBAT KA IMTEHAN

Test of love

Murtasim came back from the field after hunting and noticed Meerub facing her back to him. He remembered how they fought before and the warning given by Malik Zubair. To be honest, he is very scared for her security, he can afford anything but not any scratch on her body. A desire arose in his body on seeing his wife and he moved towards her slowly to scare her and then he would take her in his arms lovingly. Before he would not dare to touch her but now Meerub herself gave him the right to touch her anytime.

All those romantic moments came into his mind which made him blush. He considers this place as the turning point of their relationship as the first time he saw her caring for his presence and his ignorance. She couldn't handle his ignorance for a while and that made him feel on top of the world.

"Boo", Murtasim screamed and placed his hand on her shoulder to scare her but that mere touch felt uncomfortable to him and he took his hand back immediately. From the time he fell in love with her, he could easily recognise her touch and also can sense her presence but was shocked to see someone else wearing her dress. Haya turned and looked at him with wide eyes dreaming of a happy married life with him. Her heart thumped fast feeling his cold hand on her shoulder. She looked at him lovingly giving him cheesy smile and was about to touch his shoulder but he moved away realising that it was not his wife.

How she would be here when he left her home? Now he cursed himself why he brought Haya here not Meerub? Haya makes him feel very uncomfortable because of her actions. When he doesn't like her then why does she always chase him? He closed his eyes and went to have a cold shower to control his tears of regret.

He was about to hug her from back. What if this evil idea to scare her didn't come into his mind? He would have hugged another girl. How can he? In hurry, he brought her here but now he is tense, what he is going to tell Meerub? How he will explain himself to her?

After having a cold shower he came out after changing and noticed Haya swirling wearing a Meerub dress. Anger rose in his veins seeing her wearing the dress which belong to his wife only. He went towards her angrily and turned her towards him with a jerk.

"How dare you wore this dress? You don't hold any right to wear this. Go and change. We will go back in the morning", Murtasim told angrily. On hearing his shout Haya flinched in fear and closed her eyes. Just then an idea struck her mind and she acted that something went into her eyes

"Ahhh Murtasim something went into my eyes", Haya shouted in pain which was fake but to Murtasim it looked real and he felt he hurt Haya also. Already he felt defeated to see 3 men die because of him and now Haya. He placed his hand on her cheeks and tried to see what went in her eyes. He was about to step back when he noticed Meerub entering the room. Shock could be the understatement for him on seeing his wife. He immediately moved away from Haya glaring at her angrily for becoming a reason for another misunderstanding again.

Meerub went away from there and Murtasim ran behind her in fear to lose her. He can't handle another misunderstanding and her anger. His heart ragged rapidly due to nervousness and fear to lose a very precious woman in his life. He shouted her name in fear but she ignored him which scared him to death and also made him angry. Why can't she trust him? From the first date of thier marriage, he is trying his level best to gain her trust but every time she blames him which pinches his heart. He shows that he doesn't care about the blame but he feels a pang inside his heart when Meerub doesn't trust him. He called her name many times to stop her but she didn't which Rose his temper. He ran behind her angrily and pulled her towards himself with a jerk. She crashed with him but immediately pushed him angrily feeling betrayed

"Something went into her eyes and I...", he shouted angrily trying to explain what happened there but Meerub stopped him

"Don't explain anything to me. I will not spend a minute with you now", Meerub shouted at top of her voice and stepped back from him. Her voice was breaking down with every word she spoke due to the feeling of betrayal but her anger has no limits. Her eyes moistened, she don't know why but her heart felt heavy because she thought Murtasim will never cheat on her but he also cheated on her like others and she is heartbroken now. All she wants is to die somewhere to get peace

"It was my mistake to come here because I thought I hold that right but you..", she stopped in the middle feeling her throat drying because of her tears. Her voice broke down due to tears

"You were showering your love on someone else", she said pointing her hand towards him and then towards the right side where she saw him with Haya. Romancing with her and was about to kiss her. She broke down in tears and felt difficult to stand even. Murtasim stepped towards her to explain his side but she stepped back warning him angrily

"Don't touch me", Meerub shouted in rage and left from there. It is late at night and Murtasim can't take the risk because he is scared by the warning given by Khan Zubair. He ran behind her calling her name but Meerub ignored him again

"Meerub... Meerub",

"Ok I will not touch you but please let me drive for you please ", Murtasim pleaded and his voice broke down. Meerub stopped in her track hearing his weak voice, she turned to see him crying. Is he crying for her? She shrugged her thoughts off and looked towards him angrily recalling the sight were Murtasim and Haya standing close to each other

"Go and drive for her not me", Meerub shouted angrily

"Fine if you don't trust me. Ok, I'm a cheater but please don't go alone. It's a request Meerub. Last time when you didn't hear me Zubair took advantage. He was again saying he should not have left you. Please don't go alone", Murtasim requested by joining his hands in front of her, he never joined his hand in front of anyone but he felt this is needed here otherwise Meerub will take his words lightly and will put her life in danger

"Are you lying to take me?", Meerub asked angrily

"Why would I?", Murtasim asked angrily keeping his tone loud just to match her tone. If she can raise her voice then I'm also not less.

"I will come with you only if you will keep quiet and will not explain anything to me. Otherwise, I will jump from the car ", Meerub warned him angrily. Murtasim nodded not having any chance and took her towards his car without touching her. When Meerub sat in her seat, he noticed she didn't tie her seatbelt. He moved towards her, Meerub was about to protest but seeing him holding a seatbelt she stopped and looked at him with tears. If it was normal then she would have blushed hard but right now she is feeling betrayed by him.

"I'm selfish but I don't care if Haya lives or dies but I can't afford to lose you. The only reason I refused to take you here is Zubair who wants to harm you to take revenge on me because I asked Nyla to stay at my house", Murtasim explained one of the main points to her. He didn't explain himself because he can't let her go alone. A teardrop fell from his eyes and directly landed on Meerub's hand, she felt bad and her hands itched to wipe his tears but she looked away because she is badly hurt by him.
