Meerab and Murtasim have been married for almost 6 months, however the scenario in their room is completely unexpected. Due to the influence of their families, they were compelled to be married and had no other choice. They saw this relationship as more of a settlement because, prior to their marriage, they had told each other that they had nothing in common. They have not spoken for longer than five minutes at a time since getting married. When they had to share a room, tension would inevitably arise between them as their distance grew over time.

On their first night together, Murtasim informed Meerab that he would not be changing any of his habits, and he would not be moving to the couch, so either she shares a bed, or mostly she sleeps on the couch whenever he comes back. When Murtasim comes back, Meerab spends most of her time at her mother's place, thus they never really tried to give their relationship a chance. They have their own reasons for not accepting one other. Murtasim refuses to accept her since he is not ready for marriage and she is incompatible with him. Meerab, on the other hand, believed that Murtasim was an egoist and did not want to marry him in order to finish her education.

Murtasim returned home suddenly today and did not notify anyone. Although he usually notifies his family of his arrival, he was preoccupied with work this time and was unable to do so. Furthermore, he encountered a problem that has permeated his mind and prevented him from thinking clearly. His thoughts continued to revolve around his family, for whom he is doing everything, even as he was returning. Despite his lack of feelings for Meerab, he still cares for her because he feels sorry for her. She shares her home with a man who rarely talks to her and hardly spends any time with her. After marriage, they give each other the cold shoulder to indicate that they are not interested in one other, and this has resulted in a gap that he does not believe he will ever be able to fill.

He is dressed in a white cotton kurta pajama with a brown shawl over it because it is cold there and he always carries a shawl with him. He took off his goggles and faced the hall, where he saw Meerab and Ma Begum engrossed in conversation. Meerab shares a bond with everyone except him after their wedding, and he is aware of it. His heart skipped a beat as he saw her with her hair hanging loose and a dupatta covering her head. She was dressed in a black suit which she purchased when they went for a shopping along with Mariyam. It is not as though he has never noticed how gorgeous she is; every time he looks at her gorgeous face and figure, he has to remind himself that she is not his.

Given that he has never made an attempt to have a conversation with her, he will not just hold her responsible for their marital complications. It is not all her fault because he consistently disregarded her presence and their conversations lasted no longer than a few minutes. After having his bag carried to their room by the servants, he entered and walked up to his mother. Unaware of his arrival, Ma Begum sprung to her feet in astonishment, her face glimmering with relief at seeing her son again. Murtasim is her pride, and she is proud of her son. She gave him a firm embrace upon hearing Murtasim greet her, and he closed his eyes in relaxation. As soon as he released the hug, he turned to face his wife, who was staring at him intently. After a month, he returned, and she seemed quite pale. He was going to meet Meerab when his mother's voice called out to him.

"Murtasim, Is everything fine? You didn't inform us before coming", Ma Begum asked

"Aab mai apne ghar bhi nahi aa sakta?" he questioned in a raspy tone, sighing in disbelief

"No, you are always welcome. This is your house . I just asked this because...", she started to explain herself when Murtasim interrupted her

"Ma, I am exhausted, and I am leaving," Murtasim stated, to which Ma Begum nodded. Murtasim then glanced at Meerab and said, "Asslam O Alikum." Meerab smiled and responded with "Walaikum Assalam." He felt relieved after hearing her voice and exited the hall since he did not want to talk to anyone right now because he was in a mess. He can not tell his mother about this because she would be extremely uptight, and he can not tell Meerab about it since their relationship is not good.
