"Flirting with Death."

THE AWKWARD SILENCE was still a constant as we still sat in a boring circle avoiding eye contact with one another. Tyler was yet to get here, meaning Rebekah had compelled those around me to sit in silence until he did.

Meaning, in order to keep up my little ruse, I had to sit in silence.

Not that I truly thought I was fooling anyone. They all knew my loyalties, and it sure as hell wasn't with them.

Truthfully, I didn't know if it was with the Originals either. Yes, I loved Rebekah dearly. Yes, I was sort of-ish with Klaus. Yes, Elijah was the Easter Bunny. But, I had my own agenda. I had my own plans and I wouldn't allow ties to get in the way of what needed to be done.

Revenge.

I needed them to understand what it felt like. What it meant to have your heart ripped from your own body by those you thought were family. Friends.

I knew I sounded crazy. I knew that this need was irrational and idiotic. But...I couldn't let it go. I couldn't let them go on with their lives as though they hadn't destroyed mine.

A soft creaking sound drew my attention away from the intricate wood of the table. Because I obviously found it interesting to count the lines of the dark substance as any sane and not bored person would.

My eyes immediately found a man peeking through the door of the library. His dark brown hair shone in the ugly school lights that always gave me a semi-headache, and his brown eyes found the blonde original almost immediately.

He looked familiar. I definitely knew him from somewhere.

In a way...he kind of held a resemblance to Klaus.

"Sister." he said simply as he looked at Rebekah. His eyes strayed from her for a moment, taking in the scene around him. "Look at this." he marveled, finding the four of us sitting at the table like sad preschoolers getting detention at lunch time.

Another sibling, then. Which one?

Klaus had told me his siblings names, but he'd never really gone into detail about them. Other than saying that me and a 'Kol' would get along well for the sole fact that we both shared the hobby of destroying Klaus's ego.

"Kol." Rebekah acknowledged, "Finally."

Well, that answered my question. So this was the 'heathen' (Klaus's words not mine) that I would supposedly wreak havoc with. Interesting. I wonder if he'd make fun of Klaus on his visit here. I sure hoped so.

I was sure I'd seen Kol all of twice. Once at the ball. Again when we had meant to kill Esther.

"Did you bring what I asked for?" questioned the blonde original.
