You're still tired, but the pain is gone, and you are very comfortable. Stretching, you frowned when you felt the thing under you move. Opening your eyes, you saw Jade was right under you. His coils were wrapped around two branches, acting like a hammock. You were laying on him, with your own tail draped over a branch. Taking another look around, you saw you were in some kind of hut. Outside, you could hear people talking and laughing.
Making sure Jade was asleep, you slipped off him and towards the door. There were a lot more huts that seemed to surround a temple. There were several Naga's who stopped to stare at you in curiosity. You didn't move from your spot or do anything to greet them. If they're anything like Jade, then you're more scared of them than anything.
An arm appeared around your waist making you jump. Jade didn't seem to mind though as he nuzzled his face against your neck. His touch made your skin crawl, but you tried to stay calm. Even though you wanted to scream when he started kissing your neck.
"Jade, there are people watching." You pointed out, hoping he would be too embarrassed to continue.
"Let them watch. I've waited a long time for this." He growled, before turning you to him and kissing you, "My beautiful mate. My beloved. The mother of my offspring."
If the one saying those were anyone else, less crazy, you would almost be flattered. However, it's Jade and he's acting like he's already planned your future. Trying not to flinch every time he kissed you between words, you hoped there would be some way to stop him. That came when your stomach growled. His eyes shifting between your face and your stomach.
"I guess you would be hungry." He hummed, pulling you inside towards a fire pit and a pot of boiling stew, "You haven't eaten since I took you and escaping those villagers must have taken a lot of your energy."
Raising an eyebrow at him, you looked down to study the food. It smelled absolutely delicious. There were vegetables, herbs, and meat. The meat you were suspicious of. You know Naga's eat humans, due to what Jade told you. However, you wonder if they eat anything else. Surely, they have more meat options than humans.
"What kind of meat is this?" You questioned, glaring at him.
He paused to study it before looking up, "I believe it's Jaguar. Meat is meat though. You're a Naga now, if you don't eat the meat, you'll never get any energy."
Sighing, you held your hand out to accept the bowl from him. He only smirked before taking a spoonful and holding it towards you. Rolling your eyes, you decided to just humor him. It's food and you're too tired to argue with him. Opening your mouth, you tried to ignore his pleased expression as he started to feed you.
"You said we would be seeing Neeka today?" You questioned, earning a hummed yes from him, "Who is she?"
"Neeka is our, I guess you humans would call them advisors. We go to her for wisdom, and she helps us." He explained, setting the bowl down, "Actually, let's go see her now. She should be awake."
Watching him, move towards the door, you waited for him to open it. He only looked at you expectantly, before laughing.
"Wrap around me. I'll carry you so it will be faster."
"We can just slither there, can't we?" You asked, earning a tired sigh from him before he glared at you.
"(Y/N), there are several males out there who would love to get their claws on you. The faster we get there, the faster we can help with our pain, and get you back here." He growled, "Unless you would prefer, I drag you back to the cave, isolate you, hunt down two humans, and make you eat them."
Shivering at the thought, you shook your head. Moving behind him, you wrapped your coils around him and wrapped your arms around his neck.
"That's my girl." He hummed in approval before you felt him move.
Looking around as he went, you saw that this village wasn't that different from the human one. This one was much bigger though. It was more in the open with large rocks, but that shouldn't surprise you. Snakes like heat and you bet these stones act like heat magnets. There was the smell of spices in the air, and you saw several kids playing a wrestling game.
The temple was lovely too. There were a few guards, and statues of Nagas wearing armor. Probably their ancestors or gods. Your eyes went to the front where you saw a female Naga was dancing while chanting. She must be Neeka.
"You've brought your mate, Jade." She hummed, as she stopped dancing and turned to you two.
"Neeka, this is (Y/N)." Jade introduced as she and a red-haired Naga approached.
He was much larger than Jade, but he moved a little awkwardly, were Jade didn't. Neeka, was nearly all lavender from her hair to her tail, and even her clothes. The only part of her that wasn't purple was her golden eyes. She grabbed your face as she studied you. Her eyes widening as she pulled her hand away.
"She is not a full Naga." She accused, earning a nod from Jade.
"That's why we're here. We're looking for pain relief when she turns." Jade answered, making her hiss in clear agitation.
"She must eat two humans. You know this, Jade." She sighed, making you glare at her.
"I won't eat humans." You snapped, making her head snap to you.
Startling you at how intimidating she was. Sure, she's beautiful, but her beauty just made her that much scarier when she's mad. Shrinking behind Jade, you felt him grab your hand as if to comfort you.
"I'm just looking for a way to relieve her pain."
"I see." She hissed, though you saw her eyes flicker to the other Naga, "I will speak with you, along Jade. It is something only you can do."
Looking between the two of them, you paused when you saw Jade watching you expectantly. He's actually okay with leaving you alone with another Naga. Swallowing the lump in your throat, you let him go. Wrapping your arms around yourself as you saw Jade and Neeka go down a hallway. The temple became quiet, but you could feel the other Naga watching you closely.
"You're still partly human?" He spoke, making you jump, but you nodded, "Don't eat the stew. Make sure you know for sure where the meat is coming from."
Confused, you were going to ask him what he meant, but Neeka's and Jade's voices echoed the temple as they returned. Watching them, you saw Jade look between you and the other Naga. Fury on his face as he moved faster to get between the two of you.
"Did you do anything to my mate?" He growled with fangs showing.
The other Naga didn't seem threatened by him. He actually seemed like he didn't care.
"Jade, be nice to my mate." Neeka huffed, caressing the Naga's face, "He's mine after all."
Okay, so this is just the way Naga's are. Jade still didn't seem happy though. Instead, he huffed as he wrapped an arm around your shoulders to lead you out. The male Naga's words echoed in your head, making you glance back at him. He only gave you a barely noticeable nod as Jade lead you out.
