At first he would be frozen because he doesn't want to wake you up but slowly he would relax and cuddle you back stroking his finger up and down you spine and play with your hair.
Would feel bad having to wake you up for whatever reason but if you don't need to wake up he would either read or fall asleep with you if he was feeling tired.
