Indiana pov
"Is it just me, or are they actually getting worst?" I tease. Here we were, watching the worst possible team in the league attempt to warm up before our game. District 5. None of them had any proper training, and after watching as their losing streak just kept going, one would think they actually enjoy looking like total fools on the ice. I hated them all, and they hated us,especially Guy Germaine. Oh, how I'd love for that boy to leave the country and never return."Is that even possible?" My friend Michael Larson chimed in.
Micheal Larson and Carter McGill skated by their bench. I skated regally behind them as they approached.
"Hi, Girls." My teammate taunted. One of the boys lunged at us but not one of us flinched. We just simply skated off. Now, I hated that stupid team, but I have to say, the constant mockery they had endured from my team got very tiresome. I see nothing wrong with a little rivalry. Even some playful banter here and there, but, Larson, McGill, and Banks we're the biggest bullies on the team. They never knew when to stop. So I, being the most mature one the team, had to constantly come between the two teams and break up their squabbles all the time.
"Must you two always instigate?" I asked the two boys who were clearly very proud of themselves.
"What's the big deal, Indiana? They're never gonna fight back." McGill, the unofficial ringleader of our group, voiced.
"Y'know, one day, your asses are gonna be handed to you, and I'm not gonna do a thing to stop it."
"Right..and one day a boy will actually be able to look at you and not barf. Oh wait, both thing that will never happen." He teased.
"Lay off,Carter ." Adam interjected. Out of all my friends, Adam was my best. He always looked out for me and made sure the boys weren't too rough with me. I had thick skin, only being around guys and all, but boy did McGill know how to make my blood boil.
The team got together to do our Chant. A pretty unoriginal chant at that.
"Win! Win! Win! Win!" We all repeated. On that same note of unoriginality, the other team tried to copy us by doing an extremely pathetic version of our chant.
I watched as the other team attempted to mirror us by hitting their goalies pads, or lack there of.
We took our places on the ice and three boys took their spots at the face off, Terry,Jesse, and Guy. They had no sense of spacing so they were all piled together in a line, leaving room for an insult to slip from Michaels lips.
"What's this? The Oreo line?" I rolled my eyes because, like I said, he never knew when to stop. He knew a comment like that was inappropriate but he had no filter.
The puck was dropped and thoes players, If you can even call them that, we're immediately flipped and their asses were dropped. As usual. Adam gained possession of the puck and skated towards their goal. D-5 practically threw themselves out of our way before we even got the chance to even try. Adam skated up and scored. Of course. He was our best player. He skated by Jesse, one of the hot headed D-5 players and knocked his helmet off.
"That's one!" He taunted. I gave him that look from the bench and he looked at me and shrugged.
Guy skated by our bench and says to me "Control that friend of yours, James."Referring to Adam.
"Control that mouth, Germaine." I shot back. The hatred between me and Guy had became the norm. We used to be friends until he totally left me in the dust when his friends didn't "approve" of him being friends with a Hawk. Immature if you ask me. The pair that once used to be inseparable, could not even be 5 feet from eachother without some type of problem being started. I, as a very short tempered person, could not, and would never allow anyone to prove me wrong. I could never let things go. I'll never start a fight, but I'll sure as hell finish one.
