Indiana James pov:

Seeing Guys mom, Anna Germaine, was actually really comforting. I missed her. She was the only female figure in my life, and if I'm being honest,it was really hard to leave that all behind. I loved her a lot. I was really considering taking up her offer and stopping by, but I knew Guy would just love that. Sometimes, I really regretted not trying hard enough to salvage mine and Guy's friendship. But not for his sake. For mine. For Anna's.

I walked home with Adam as I smiled to myself.

"Why are you so happy?" He asked.

"Oh, I don't know. It was just nice to see Ms.Germaine again. Y'know?"

"Why? What's so important about her?" He asked.

"A lot. She's like a surrogate mom to me. I just...missed her. A lot." I explained.

"Oh." He replied. "So I was just wondering,"

"Yeah?"

"Why does he call you Indie?" He asked me.

"Who, Guy?" I asked, already knowing who he was referring to.

"Yeah."

"I dunno. I mean, he used to call me Indie when we were younger, I don't know why he still does, when it's clear to everyone that he's the only one." I really didn't know why he called me Indie. I wish I did, but I really didn't. Maybe it was just out of habit, or maybe he really did think my name is too long. Or maybe he did it to make me mad. I wasn't sure.

"Bye dad! I'm going out." I announced as I walked to the door.

"It's cold, where is your hat?" My dad asked me. I was hesitant to tell him that I had lost my only hat.

"Um, I don't know where it is." I spoke quietly.

"Ok well there's another one in the closet with all the winter stuff." I nodded to my dad and walked to the closet.

"It's not here." I called out as I searched the closet.

"It's not?" I shook my head at my dad. "Hmm, let me check my closet."

My dad walked to his room and began rummaging through the bin in his closet. "Ah hah!" I heard from down the hallway. "Found it!"I heard his footsteps approaching from down the hallway and saw him as he tossed the hat up then let it fall back into his hand.

"Here." No. It can't be. I didn't even know we still had that hat. It wasn't even mine. It was Guys, from a few years ago. Boy, was it awful. He had awful taste in fashion.

"I can my wear that. That's- I just can't.." I argued.

"Well, you either wear it, or you don't go outside. Your choice." I groaned loudly as I took the hat from his hands. I hesitantly put it on and walked out the door.

I sat on the stoop and laced up my skates. I got up and skated around the block to meet up with Adam. He walked out the door and just started laughing at me.

"What's so funny, banks?" I asked sternly.

"That hat. Why on earth would you buy such an ugly hat?" He teased.

"Shut up! It's not even mine. My dads making me wear it." I huffed and crossed my arms. He just kept laughing at me and I was starting to get agitated. "Stop laughing at me!"

"Okay, okay! I'm sorry. You ready?" He asked.

"Obviously. I came here for you." I said matter of factly.

"Okay, well let's get in the car. My dads gonna drive us."

Adam and I piled into the backseat of his dads car as we waited for his dad to come out.

When his dad got into the car he had asked us why our coach was bringing us to a fancy rink. We had no clue. We got no background information.

When his dad dropped us off we were greeted by Bombay waiting outside the rink with a few others.

"Adam, Indiana, right on time." He smiled warmly at us and patted Adam on the back.

"Hey, um coach, why are we here?" I asked.

"You'll see. Oh there's Jesse and Terry. Ok guys, let's go in." We followed bombay and walked into the giant rink.

"Look! It's the North Stars!" I called out. The team looked in the direction that I was pointed and began to fawn over the team.

"This is so cool!" Guy said to Connie.

"What are we doing here?" One of the guys asked.

"It's a little play-offs present." Coach said proudly.

Everyone stood there in awe. Even more so when one of the players approached coach.

"Hey, Gordo! Gordon bombay right?" Jaw. Dropped.

"You remember me?" Even coach was in shock.

"Sure, from PeeWees." He said, "this guy used to rule PeeWees."

"I heard you were a farmer." One of the other players teased.

"Actually, I became a lawyer. But I'm coaching Pee Wee now and this is my team, Ducks, this is Basil McRae and Mike Modano."

"Duh." I replied.

"We know." Karp added.

"All right." He said back with a smile.

"Hey, Ducks!Listen to this guy.He knows what he's talking about." He then turned to coach. "If you ever want a shot, I'll get you a tryout in the minor league clubs."

"Thanks." He replied happily.

"No problem. Hey, nice seeing you." Mike Modano patted him on the shoulder an gave us high-fives as he walked past.

"Take it easy." Coach called out. "All right, let's have some fun!"

We all got our skates on and headed out onto the ice.

Everyone skated around and laughed. It was amazing. The team had actually started to accept us as duck. Well most of the team. It was clear that Jesse still wasn't a huge fan of banks. Me and Adam skated around and pushed eachother. Adam, at the big age of 13 still thought it was absolutely hilarious to see me fall flat on my face. And so did Guy apparently. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him hold back a laugh as Adam and I pretended to fight eachother and push one another down onto the ice. Nothing was going to ruin this day. Nothing.
