Indiana James pov:

I walked to the bathroom and walked in. I sat in the stall for a few minutes trying to compose myself. I started to get flustered and upset, so I tried to calm myself down. After sitting there for a bit, I decided I was finally okay enough to make my way back to the group. I walked out of the bathroom only to be greeted by Larson and McGill.

"Look who it is." Larson taunted.

"Leave me alone." I demanded.

"Aw, are you gonna cry, little swan?" McGill chimed in.

"We're not swans. We're ducks! Now get out of my way!" I shouted.

"Oh, but I just wanna talk to you." He gave an evil smile while stepping closer to me.

I rolled my eyes and took a step backwards to try and make more space between us.

"See this?" He asked pointing to his black eye, that I had given him. "You did this." He said as he shoved me backwards.

"Keep your hands off of me, Carter!" I yelled.

"Maybe take a bit of your own advice." He threatened. "You were soo lucky a teacher was there to hold me back at school. But where's the teacher now? Where's your little team, hm?"

He shoved me back again making me slam against the brick wall behind me, causing me to hit my head.

"Your team got lucky in these last few games. But I know and you know, they're just a bunch of nothings."

"You're wrong! They're not nothings. You're a nothing! Now keep your hands OFF of me, or else ." I narrowed my eyes at him and I felt my face start to warm up.

"Or else what?" He taunted.

"Or else, I'll give you another black eye to match the other one."

"Oh please you don't have the guts-" boy was he wrong. Right hook right to the side of his head.

"Oh! You're gonna get it!" He yelled. He pushed me to the ground and walked closer to me. The air had left my body and I felt like I couldn't breathe. My body went numb as I had slammed my back on the hard floor. I could only manage to get one more demand from slip from my lips.

"Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" I heard from behind me. I turned around to see nearly all the guys walk over to us. I was still laying on the floor. I reached to the back of my head and felt something wet dripping from it. I pulled my hand back to see it covered in blood. I felt someone kneel down next to me.

"Are you okay?" I heard Adams voice as I struggled to open my eyes.

"Think it's cool to hit girls?" I heard Fulton ask McGill.

"Please, she's hardly a girl anyway." He taunted. I heard a body hit the floor and heard Jesse yell.

"Yeah! Get outta here, freak!"

"Come on! Let's get outta here!" I heard Larson yell to McGill as I heard them scurry away.

"Hey, someone help me get her up." I heard Adam call out. I felt my arms being draped over two peoples shoulders as they lifted me from the floor. I wasn't concussed, but I was in pain. I hurt all over. I felt two of my teammates help walk me back to bombay.

The rest of the team had gone home so it was only coach waiting for us.

"Woah! Indiana, what happened?" I heard coach ask in a frightened voice.

"McGill put hands on her." I heard the voice to my right say. I turned my head to see, you guessed it, no one other than Guy Germaine. I sighed and looked down. I felt so embarrassing.

"Come on, we gotta get you home." Adam said.

"I can't. My dad left for work and I was expecting to go out after this so I didn't bring a key."

"Can't she go with you,Adam?" Coach asked.

"Usually I'd say yes, but I'm supposed to go to my grandmas. My parents already left for work too." He sounded worried and guilty that he couldn't take care of me.

"She can come with me.." I heard the voice next to me say.

"No, it's fine. I'm fine. I don't need someone to take care of me." I answered brusquely.

"Indiana,  if you dont go and get checked out, then I'm going to bench you. And I mean it. You need someone to take a look at you."

"Fine." I answered annoyed.

"Guy, why don't you call your mom." Coach suggested.

"Sure." He had Fulton switch places with him as he went to go call his mom.

"Did you hit him?" I asked Fulton.

"Yeah." He chuckled, "I did."

"Good. So did I." He and Adam chuckled at my lack of concern.

Guy made his way back and let us know his mom would be there soon.

"Come on, guys. Let's get her outside so she can sit on the bench." Adam suggested. The guys helped me out to the bench and I sat down and put my head in my hands.

"Ugh, I can't believe that just happened. I'm so embarrassed." I rubbed my eyes in utter dismay.

"It's not your fault." Charlie said while putting a hand on my shoulder. "They're just big bullies."

I smiled faintly at Charlie.

"My moms here." Guy waved his mom to come out of the car. She rushed out of the car and came to my aid right away.

"Oh, my sweet Indiana... are you okay?" She asked in distress.

"Yes, I'm okay." I lied. I was still in alot of pain and the blood was dripping down my neck and into my shirt

"Well let's get you to the car." I turned around quickly to say goodbye to my teammates and gave Adam a hug.

"Thanks for helping me, guys." I smiled at them then started walking towards the parking lot.

She put her arm around me as she helped me to her car and I felt at peace knowing she was with me.
