Now back in LA. Y/N has been staying at Lizzie's since they still don't have a new place. Lizzie has been with them to every appointment. Y/N had finished with the burn treatment.
Y/N was stood in front of the mirror, hating every inch of their face. Their ear was nothing but a lump of tissue with a hole.
"Y/N, breakfast is ready." Lizzie called out in the bedroom. When she didn't see them, she found them stood before the bathroom mirror. "Y/N?"
"Why do you like me?" They asked as they found her eyes in the mirror.
"I love you because you are selfless. You are clueless in a cute way. From the moment we met, you never saw me as a nepo kid. You saw me as me. Not in relation to who my sisters are." She told them as she turned them to face her. "I fell in love with these eyes and soul I see when I look in them. The soul that I was bound to find. I don't care if you are scarred. I don't even care if you lost your nose. I am in love with the person you are." She rested her hand on their chest. "In here."
Y/N just leaned their forehead on hers as they took in her words.
"You don't care that I look like something out of a horror film?" They asked her as she shook her head.
"I don't. I care that you are here and alive. I get to hear your voice. Look in those eyes." She told them. "That is what I care about."
Y/N pulled her in for a hug as all of their doubts washed away. With those words straight from her heart.
As the weeks went on, Y/N pushed Lizzie to go back to work. As much as she tried to object. They wouldn't budge
"I am not letting you put your life on hold for me anymore." Y/N told her sternly. "I have finished with the burn treatments, this is what I am going to look like for the rest of my life. I can always ask someone else to take me to therapy."
"Y/N. I can push them back." She tried as they just shook their head.
"You've done that enough Lizzie. You have a career. This has been your life since college. So please go and live it." They told her.
"You're my life Y/N." She told them.
"No. I am a part of your life." They told her. "Please go and share with the rest of the world how fabulous you are." Which is what she did reluctantly.
Which is how Y/N managed to cook her a meal, dressing up in a shirt and slacks. With the help of Scarlett. When Lizzie walked in, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Y/N stood pulling out a chair.
"What is all of this?" She asked as she stepped slowly.
"We have shared kisses and said I love you. But we haven't had a date or even spoke about what we are." Y/N said as Lizzie sat down. Watching as Y/N poured some wine for her before getting their food. "And I wanted to do something nice for you. You deserve this and more after all you have done for me."
"Y/N." Lizzie smiled as they took as seat opposite her. "This is perfect."
"I would love to take you out on a proper date. Hold your hand on a moonlit walk but I'm not ready to go out yet. Not like this." They said sadly as she nodded.
"This is a proper date." Lizzie told them. "This is the ideal first date. Just us together."
"Well, tell me about your day." They told her as she started to talk about the audition she had prior to all of the meetings and prep for interviews. They watched her as she spoke. Smiling as they saw that sparkle in her eyes once more.
Y/N soon found the confidence to go out. Making a reservation at Lizzie's favourite restaurant. Dressing up in a navy blue suit jacket and grey slacks with a white shirt and black shoes.
They left the house as Lizzie was in the shower. Making their way to the nearest flourist. Buying a bouquet of Lizzie's flowers. Ignoring the heads turning at their scars. Just happy to be able to do this for Lizzie. When they arrived back at Lizzie's, they knocked even though they had a key, they just wanted to do this right. Smiling as soon as Lizzie opened the door with an amused smirk.

"Forgot your key?" She teased as they smiled at her.
"I just wanted to do this right." They told her. "These are for you."
"Thank you. They're beautiful." She spoke as they gave her the flowers. Following her inside as she placed them in a vase.
"You look beautiful." They spoke barely above a whisper, making her blush slightly.
"Thank you. You look amazing." She said as she straightened out their suit jacket. ,
"Shall we head out." Y/N asked as they held their arm out for her.
"Where too?" Lizzie asked as Y/N gave her the location. When they were inside the restaurant, the eyes were still on Y/N, but they didn't care. Their only thoughts revolved around the beauty before them. All through the meal, leading up to the moonlit walk.
"I am so proud of you." She told them.
"Thank you." They said as they kissed her temple. "Besides, I wanted to ask you something. I have wanted to ask you for a while now but no moment seemed the right moment." They took a deep breath before speaking. "You have been the one who was always there for me, even when I didn't know I needed it. You make me feel complete. You were my missing piece. So what I am asking is, would you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes." She breathed out. She captured their lips in a searing kiss. Showing all of the love they felt for the other in this kiss. Knowing that they will never truly be alone.
