It was nighttime by the time I had finished telling Yusuke about my tragic story. He listened to every word I had to say and wasn't judging me. Being able to tell someone everything made me feel so relieved. It led me to wonder where on earth had Yusuke been all my life.
"What about you, what's your life story?" I asked him.
He shrugged, "Not much to tell, I was born into a small family. Just a mom and dad. Dad died in an accident when I was seven years old, almost eight. Then it was just me and my mom until recently. She died too."
"I'm really sorry for your loss." I told him sincerely.
"Thanks." He simply answered as he stretched his arms, "After that, I guess I just started living a monotonous lifestyle of going to work and then home, eating cause I had to, going with the flow, that sort of shit." He smiled, "But life just seemed boring to me until I met you."
"You're still weird." I deadpanned, "This isn't a perfect way to make your life entertaining. In fact, hanging with me, your life is in danger."
"Nothings ever perfect. Besides, what is a little harm indulging in a bit of danger?" he smirked, "Not to mention, you technically have a debt to pay me and I'd like it in the form of being entertained."
I rolled my eyes, "I'm not some performer to entertain you."
He chuckled, "The world is our stage and we are the actors."
"Again... weirdo." I sang in a mocking tone.
He flicked my forehead. I yelped. "You're too young to understand."
"Well whatever." I shrugged. Turning my tone a bit serious I said, "You know, when we get to the hideout, I want you to let me do the talking. We wouldn't want too much entertainment in your life. Aka meaning an instant death."
"A what now?" he smiled with a nervous expression.
Not paying attention to him I continued, "Shigaraki is a tough guy to impress. But given your quirk is an immobilizing type, he'll let you in automatically because you can be good in combat. Not that I'm going to let that happen."
"Will he even allow that?" he asked confused. "If I'm joining you, he's going to want my participation."
I shook my head no, "Not going to happen. If I'm not willing to kill, then you aren't either. That's my only rule and condition with them and it'll be the same for you. Unless you have other thoughts." I eyed him closely.
"I'm not the killing type." He answered with a nervous chuckle, "Couldn't even kill a fly. My job here is to make sure you don't do something impulsive." He eyed me with a serious expression, "I don't want my entertainment to be a bloody mess."
I sighed, "There you go again with that, but fine. Suit yourself... I appreciate your dedication."
He shrugged.
We both continued to walk towards the new hideout. Yusuke was a little unamused. Claiming he didn't think the LOV with how terrified they had people lived in a shithole. I punched his arm telling him to pipe down. I swear this man has no filter on him.
I took a deep breath as I opened the door. Right away Toga came running at me as she hugged me tightly asking where I had been.
Mr. Compress as well showed concern, but I got a scold from him and Spinner. As for Twice and Magne, they seemed content knowing I was safe. With the exception of Twice suddenly saying contradicting sentences.
