Jesse’s POV:
I woke up with a smile on my face still there from last night.
I grabbed my phone from my bedside table and checked the time, it was 11:45.
I was about to put the phone back down but stopped and admired my background.
Last night I decided that Alyssia and I needed a picture of our first official date. I put the camera on a timer and I told Lyssa to get ready. She got up from across the air balloon basket and began to come toward me and ended up falling flat on her face. She laughed at herself hysterically.
The timer ended right when she was pulling her head back in laughter and I was staring at her with a wide grin on my face. You could see how truly happy she looked.
The picture is possibly one of the greatest pictures I own.
I was going to put my phone down once again but I decided not to.
I dialed in Alyssia’s contact and waited for her to answer.
Her voicemail picked up.
I let out a sigh. I really wanted to see her. Spending only a second away from her is hard.
…Wow, I am really whipped. There’s no denying it.
But for the first time since I was in the sixth grade I didn’t have a fear of being stuck in a relationship.
The thought of a relationship used to make me run as far as I could in the opposite direction.
But Alyssia made me sprint toward a relationship.
It was nerve-racking.
My thoughts about my girl were interrupted when my phone started vibrating next to me, it was Lyssa. A smile tugged at my mouth.
I clicked the answer button and pulled the phone up to my ear, “Hey baby girl.”
“Hello thereee” she spoke in a singsong voice.
A full smile spread onto my face, amused at her good mood, “You’re in an extremely good mood… But I am not going to question it! What are you doing later?”
“Well, that depends, what do you have in mind?” she inquired.
“I don’t care as long as I am with you.” I just wanted to see her.
“Would you be down for lunch with Bri and her boyfriend?” Hopefulness evident in her voice.
“ Anything for you.” A smile never left my face as we spoke.
She called to Bri in the background that I was going and talked back into the phone, “Yay. Thank you!”
“I’ll be over in 40 minutes?”
“Sounds great!”
I hopped into the shower, anxious for getting to know Bri a little better.
She was really the only person, besides me, that Alyssia seemed close to and I wanted to be able to get along with her. Even though she seemed a little… Flamboyant.
Alyssia’s POV:
I hung up the phone with Jesse and did a little dance. I was thrilled that my two best friends and I were all going to hang out together.
Bri poked her head out from the bathroom and started laughing at my ridiculous party of one.
“Shut up!” I yelled embarrassed. “I am excited I get to spend the afternoon with my two favorite people AND I get to meet Conrad. But then again, you talk about him so much I basically know him already.” I teased.
