🌸 Annie 🌸

The last coordinates found were close by. They were so far North, away from all civilization. Is there even a real organization? Annie wondered. It feels like a which hunt. Futile.

Everything looked the same, they were blindly following the compass. Leah on the other hand kept saying how everything was different over the way. Something with the sounds and smells. The only difference Tom and Annie noticed was the amount of fir along the way.

I miss the trees. Annie huffed from within the void.

"What is the difference? They are both green and live long lives. You are moping for no reason." Leah replied.

I am not. A tree is a house, filled with memories. They give me peace. But these. They are not the same. Annie concluded.

Leah's ears lifted, and a tremor shook her spine.
" We are not alone."
She slowed down.

Annie's eyes couldn't see anything different from before.

" I don't hear a thing," Tom whispered.

"Precisely, something scared the birds away."

She kept advancing, with an auspicious pace. Moving her head in all directions. Tom gently rubbed her fur.
"Good girl, see there is nothing to worry about."
He was certain that she was over reacting. She was after all in a new place.

I. I, dread this place. Is there another way? Annie said. She felt funny. Drowsiness was creeping her senses.

Tom slid from Leah's back, falling with a thud as Annie said that. He didn't even moved his hands to slow the fall.

"Tom, Tom, are you alright ?" Leah  screamed with a concerned tone. She licked his face trying to bring him back to his senses, but besides the drool on his face, nothing changed.

" I am ok, girls, I am ok."  He added, though any of his muscles moved. She purred and lied next to him, unwilling to leave his side. " Someone added a protection spell and we crossed the border without countering it. Ask for Flint..." his voice cracked.
They looked at him concerned.
".,...password...allies... fidelibus manual aperit, sustinebimus, resisted us usque ad electorum adventum."
(opens the door to the believers, we will sustain, we will resist until the coming of the elected)

"uh... what.. ... I'll never be able to remember that...." Leah screamed.

He became silent again. His eyes were wide just like his mouth.
"Close his eyelids and mouth," Annie said to Leah hopping to take her out of her stupor which she did.

Annie's vision winced again. The darkness was calling her making her turn her back at the screen of life.

" Annie, I'm talking to you!!!"

Annie shook her head and looked at the screen again. "Ah.. uh... I..." Annie mouthed unable to make a coherent thought.

" You are affected too! Let me take care of this l! I can do it!"

"Uh .." The void seemed to whisper something. "Can you hear it?"

"What?" Leah asked.

"Immune, I am immune." Leah told herself. Indeed, wolfs weren't affected by magic itself. It could slow them, but magic alone rarely put their lives in real danger. Leah pulled Tom's body towards a bush.
