🌸 Annie 🌸

Annie's mind slip. She was running in the forest, her small feet caught speed as they met the ground. A man shouted from behind.
"Oh! Come on. Come and see uncle Davon. I done know what your dad told you but I done eat children like in his stories."

The trees trembled though there was no wind. Some slightly moved changing the path ahead giving Annie a chance to escape. These trees were her friends after all. For as long as she could remember, they had soothed her in her times of sorrow and keep her company when she came.

Annie spotted a whole in a trunk tree and head to it. A branch moved her way catching her torso and slowing her fall.
"Now don't be hasty, there is nothing to feat about child."

"Davon."'Annie panted frantically.

"He won't find you. Now tell me what happened?" The tree asked.

"I saw something I wasn't suppose to. A pillow. Grampa. His face." Annie broke into a sob.

A hum raised from inside the tree. It was mourning the king.
"Darkness is upon us little girl. You must follow your father's advice and leave this place."

"But.." Annie sobbed. A scream found her ears. It wasn't Davon. Who was it?

"Snap out of it." A female voice told her.

"But gramps just died." Annie answered.

"Grampa? Annie it's time to wake up."

Annie shook her head vigorously. "What do I have left? No one is waiting for me back there. With him out, I could disappear and no one would notice." Thought they were not talking about the same topic, the feelings were the same. The void had feasted on her longing opening the wound deeper into her soul, bringing memories that she couldn't recall before.

"What about Luc and Julie, are you leaving them behind?" The voice became louder, an electricity shock went into Annie's brain.

Enraged, Annie opened her eyes. "It's not the same. They don't remember me!!!!!" She screamed into nothingness. "I have nobody!!! I'm alone. You hear me! Alone!"

" They didn't got to choose. Let's get them back. Let's go and take your family back." Leah pointed out.

Her present life slowly came back as if she was getting back from the fog.
"What am I supposed to do? Take the whole system down? Do you even understand the implications of your statement?"

"Well dad could make them! They knelt down to him after all! He must have some sort of power over the creatures in that side of the realm."

Annie laughed.
"And how will we get to him? We can't even work together. Think about it! If I  remain here, you could get your wish. You could get my body for yourself." She taunted the wolf.

"No. I, I. Dad told me that the wolf and his owner are a soul within a soul, bound forever. We must be one in order to live or we will die together. I can't live if you choose to die. Look. Let's make a truce." She purred in a mellow voice.

"Hum," In her current memories, her father was taken eight years ago, but he had met Leah and had thought them many things. The problem was that Annie's memories had been erased from her head. "Fine, let's find the whole truth." Annie complied.

" Well, I  am glad to hear it! Coz, if you want to remain alive, this is the time to call a truce.... before .... before, we have no body left at all!" She ended with a squeak.
