Chapter 23: Good Bye

"Are you not going to sleep?" Jungkook softly asks as his boyfriend quietly stares at him.

"No. I am not going to sleep. You are leaving in the morning. I have to make sure that I have everything about you memorized." Taehyung mumbles as his index finger gently traces over his boyfriend's nose.

"I wish that I had met you sooner when I was healthy." Jungkook whispers as a tear trickles down his face.

"Hyung, I do not regret for a single second that I fell in love with you. If I was given the choice to fall in love with you all over again, I would take that choice within a heartbeat. I love you so very much." Taehyung lovingly smiles then presses his lips against his boyfriend's soft lips.

"I love my Moonflower more than anything and anyone else." Jungkook whispers against Taehyung's lips. "Promise me that you will be top of your class and create so much art that a whole exhibit can be filled by the time I return."

"I promise. I have to make my Hyung proud." Taehyung softly smiles and kisses Jungkook on the forehead.

"Do it for yourself. I don't want you to lose yourself because of me." Jungkook explains while he desperately searches Taehyung's eyes for the beautiful sparkle.

"I will do it for both of us." Taehyung wraps his arms around his thin boyfriend and holds him close. "Go to sleep. I will be right here when you wake up."

"Why do you get to stay awake when I have to go to sleep?" Jungkook pouts as he buries his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck.

"Because you have an early flight." Taehyung softly laughs and pats Jungkook's back.

"I love you." Jungkook whispers as he begins to fall asleep.

"I love you, too." Taehyung smiles as a tear trickles down his cheek.

Once Jungkook is asleep, Taehyung and Jin make sure that everything Jungkook needs is packed. During the night, Boyoung arrives at Jungkook's home to help Taehyung and Jin with everything.

"Tae, what is that?" Jin asks when Taehyung packs something the shape of a rectangle in one of Jungkook's suitcases.

"It's his surprise." Taehyung answers and makes sure that what he packed is safe.

"Is it the painting from the other day?" Jin asks as he watches his younger brother.

"Yes." Taehyung responds as he zips up the large suitcase.

Once everything is packed up in a large van, Taehyung goes to bed and wraps his boyfriend in his embrace. When the sun begins to rise, Taehyung's embrace around his lover tightens.

"Flower?" Jungkook sleepily mumbles and opens his eyes.

"I'm here. How did you sleep?" Taehyung softly responds and loosens his embrace around his lover.

"I slept well." Jungkook hums and snuggles closer to Taehyung.

"It's time to get ready." Taehyung quietly tells Jungkook who nods in understanding.

After a few minutes of cuddling, Taehyung gets out of the bed then lifts Jungkook in his arms. Jungkook smiles and leans his head against his boyfriend's chest and listens to his heartbeat. He tries his hardest to forget that they are about to be separated.

"Will you bathe with me?" Jungkook asks and looks up into Taehyung's eyes.

"Of course." Taehyung smiles and sets Jungkook down.

Once they are undressed, Taehyung helps Jungkook into the bathtub then gets in behind him and holds him up. Jungkook happily sighs and leans back against his boyfriend.
