Chapter 25: No More

"Jinnie! What is going on?! What happened?!" Namjoon's panicked voice fills the police precinct when he comes running in.

"Joonie hyung." Jin sniffles when Namjoon engulfs him in his embrace.

"We think that Tae's family found him." Hoseok tells the worried prosecutor.

"What happened?" Namjoon asks and looks over at Taehyung who is sleeping in Yoongi's lap.

"He was getting calls from unknown numbers, so he asked me for help. When I answered the phone, the person on the other end told him that it is time for him to stop running. When I told Tae this, he panicked and passed out." Hoseok explains with concern lacing his voice.

"So, what is the plan?" Namjoon mumbles as he holds his worried lover in his arms.

"We decided to wait until Tae wakes up to ask him." Jimin answers and gently threads his fingers through his friend's hair.

"My team members are already looking into the numbers that keep calling Tae and at the license plate of the person who followed us." Hoseok tells Namjoon.

"Wait, you were followed?!" Namjoon's eyes widen in horror.

"Ah, yes, we were followed. Jimin and Tae took the bus from their school to the stop outside of our home. I picked them up from the bus stop then drove them here when I noticed that someone was following us. When I parked in the precinct parking lot, I watched them park across the street."

After hearing Hoseok, Namjoon gets up and storms out of the precinct. Jin and Hoseok quickly follow after him. When Namjoon spots the vehicle parked across the street, he storms over and bangs on the window. "Get out here, you fuckers!"

Jin and Hoseok watch in shock as Namjoon continues to beat against the window until the three men in the vehicle get out.

"Who are you, and why are you following my family?!" Namjoon snarls as he stares down the three men.

"We are detectives from Daegu." They quickly answer and show the furious prosecutor their badges.

"Now answer my second question. Why are you following my family?" Namjoon hisses and takes a threatening step towards the detectives.

"We were following the son of the Kims from Daegu. They are a large business family that funds organized crime. The family has been searching for him ever since he disappeared. They found him, so we've been following him to see if they make a move." The older detective of the three explains to a furious Namjoon.

"This is not your district. You should have contacted Seoul for permission." Hoseok responds as he examines the three detectives.

"We did not realize that Kim Taehyung is currently under the protection of your precinct. We apologize for entering your district without permission." The older detective quickly apologizes.

"Give me your contact information. I will contact you if there are anymore developments." Hoseok tells them and reaches his hand out for their business cards.

"If you wouldn't mind, would you allow us to ask him a few questions about his family?" One of the detectives asks.

"Absolutely not. He is still traumatized by his childhood." Jin answers with clenched fists.

"At the moment, his mental state is fragile. I will contact you if he tells us anything." Hoseok informs them with a bow.

"May we be allowed to follow him in case his family makes a move?" The lead detective asks.

"That will be fine since that will help keep him safe, but if you contact him in anyway, I will make sure that you lose your badge." Namjoon threatens the three detectives.
