Chapter 16: Grandparents

When Luke saw me look away quickly he placed his hand out for me to grab it. Trying to find a way to help the tension. I stood up on my own not taking his hand. I could see the confused and hurt look in his eyes. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked. "Yep, I'm great" I said not daring looking in his beautiful eye captivating eyes I couldn't.

"You won't look at me" he said confused. I turned my head and looked directly in his eyes on purpose so he didn't expect anything. "I am see?" I said. "Alright well I was wondering are you staying over?" Because if you are we could maybe hang out? If you want" he said. "Nope can't tomorrow we have school" I responded. "Oh ya sorry" he said.

"Well I have to go get my phone" I said walking back to the studio. He followed me. "Hi Y/n!!" Reggie said sounding extremely happy to see me. "Hi Reggie, whats up?" I ask him wondering why he was so happy to see me. "I'm just getting my phone guys? Whats up with all of you tonight?" I sounded a little scared but I knew nothing could happen to them.

"Grandma grandpa I'm home" I shouted from the front door. My grandma greeted me first while my grandpa was absorbed in the paper. "Hello my dear how was it?" She asked a smirk on her face. "Grandma!!" I shrieked. "What?" She said as if she had done nothing wrong. "I'm going upstairs miss thang" I said in reply. But before I headed upstairs I kissed my grandpa on the cheek. "S' efcharistó agapité mou" (Thank you my dear in Greek btw I don't know Greek I just love Greek things so I used Google translate lol) he said smiling. My grandfather loved Greek culture customs and he thought their language was beautiful. His mother was from Greece.

So he knew everything about it. The whole family could speak Greek and it was nice to come home to. "Parakaló"(your welcome in Greek) I said smiling. "Grandma is dinner ready?" I asked. "Yes would you like some I made pasta" she called from the kitchen. "Yes please" I said running in there. Me and my grandparents were super close before my parents died. But once they died and my grandparents took me in we got even closer.

I go running down the stairs fully dressed ready for a long day at school. Grandpa was sitting on the couch reading the newspaper. Grandma was in the kitchen making breakfast. "Kaliméra pappoú" (goodmorning grandpa) I called when entering the room. I then went into the kitchen for breakfast. "Kaliméra giagiá" (goodmorning grandma) I said feeling like a little girl. When me and mom would talk all morning like that.

"Do you have time to eat breakfast?" Grandma asked. "No I have to walk over and pick Julie up but could you just give me toast on the way?" I said. "Of course" she said handing me a piece of toast. "Well I got to go" I called from the front door. "Antío kalí sou méra sto scholeío glykía mou"(Goodbye have a good day at school sweetie) I heard my grandpa call from the couch. "You too!" I called. "Remember practice your Greek your doing good" my grandpa calls.
