Chapter 18: Save a Dance?

"Okay so do we want to practice now?" I asked. "Why not" Luke answered. "Oh also Y/n I have some song s I wanna show you afterward" I totally forgot to ignore him when he said this. "Oooh show me now!!" I said Julie looked over at me shocked. When I realized what I did I put my hand over my mouth. "Whats wrong Y/n?" Luke asked. "Nothing show me the songs" I eased on.

Luke picked up his guitar and started playing a really familiar tune. "So you wanna sample?" I asked when I finally realized what it was. "What?" Luke said sounding perplexed. "Sample someone else's music" I said a little weirded out that he hadn't even heard of that song. "Me and my mom used to sing that song
at the top of our lungs all the time." Julie said backing me up. "Its a classic Trevor Wilson song" I added. "Nope its a classic our song" Luke said waving his book in the air.

"Me Julie Flynn and his daughter used to be best friends" I said. Jukie grabbed her computer and pulled up a picture. "His first album had a bunch of hits but none of his latest albums are any good" she said showing them the picture. When they saw him they gasped. ". . . Thats Bobby" Luke said. "Are you guys serious we just told you that his name is Trevor" I said sounding annoyed.

"Then he changed his name but thats definitely Bobby" Alex said. "He was our rhythm guitarist" Reggie added in. "Trevor was in your band?!?" I slasked sounding amazed. "Yep. . ." Alex said still wrapping his head around this. "What were his other hits?" Luke asked sounding a little angry. "Get lost" Julie said. ". . . I . . . Wrote. . . That" Luke says making pauses between each word. "Long weekend" I said trying to come up with one that Trevor wrote. "Ya I wrote that to" Luke said practically slamming his guitar down.

"Where does he live?" Luke asked. "Above the beach in Malibu" I told him. They started grabbing their jackets. "Wait guys you can't leave we we have to rehearse" Julie said. But she was to late they had already left. "Omg . . ." I said. "Lets go" she said while grabbing her jacket.

We finally found the guys right outside Carrie's house, but when we got near them we noticed they had just mooned a plane and were now pulling up their pants. "What is wrong with you guys?!?" I asked sounding a little rude. Luke stopped and looked down he had a sad expression on his face. "Y/n we had to he needed to pay" he sounded like a kid who had just had their ice cream taken away.

"You have new songs with me and Julie. The best way to get back at Trevor is for this band to do great. And to do great we have to play at dances, then clubs." I said but was cut off. "Then tours I know" Luke said. "We'll see you guys at the dance it starts at 9 please don't be late" I pleaded then me and Julie walked off.

Luke's POV:

It was 7 when Alex took us to go see his new friend. "Hey I'm Willie" he said. "You must be Reggie and Luke" he said shaking our hands. "Ya now Alex said that there was this thing we could go to tonight" I said. "Yep this guy will make sure that that guy gets what he deserves. Now let the party commence." He took all three of us and we poofed to a strange looking building.

"Welcome" a strange person said. "I'm Caleb now Wille here says that you boys need my help" he said shaking our hands. "Ya we actually need to be seen by a lifer if you can make that happen that is." I said. "Of course but for now let's PARTY!!"

We all had thought that we had only stayed for an hour but then we heard the clock chime it was 12!! "The haunting hour is upon us" Caleb said from the stage. "Guys!!!" I yelled trying to get their attention. "I know we have to go" we grabbed our stuff and ran to the door when Caleb poofed right in front of us. Now I see why the girls asked us to stop.

"Where are you three going?" He asked. "Well remember those two girls that can see us we kind of had a gig tonight and we missed it" I said trying to get past him. "Aw yes well go, but first" he said making us turn back around. "If you boys ever need to come back and fix that problem with your friend the Hollywood Ghost Club is always open" "Thanks man" I said. "Ya" Reggie added. "One more thing maybe one day you three could be my band here if you guys and what were those lifers names again?" He asked. "Y/n and Julie" I said. "Aw yes if those two every kick you off" he put his hand out. "They would never do that" I said Reggie and Alex backed me up.

We all took his hand and the second each one of us did we saw this weird purple mark form on our forearms. Caleb must have noticed the looks we were giving eachother like what he'll is this because he said. "Oh its just a club stamp" sounding casually. "Cool" Reggie said. We left running out there hoping to have not missed anything.

Y/n's POV:

Me and Julie got ready for the dance at my house because to be honest I had the best clothes. Once we finished it was time to leave. "Antío giagiá antío pappoú (bye grandma bye grandpa)" I said as me and Julie walked out to school.

Flynn was already there and so were like the whole school. We walked over to Flynn. "Hiii" she said. "Hey whats up with Y/n Julie and the phantoms?" I ask. "Oh I had free time in French class" she says. "Well are yall ready?" She asks. "Nope the guys aren't here yet" I say shrugging my shoulders and sitting down.

"Oh by the way guys you two look adorable" she said practically squealing. "Darn right they do" came a voice from behind us. Flynns face went red and she almost started laughing me and Julie turned around to see none other than Jaden and Nick.

"Jaden look Julie its Nick and Jaden" I said pointing at them. "Haha very funny babe" Jaden said. "Babe?" I said sounding confused. "Ya I figured" he said. "Well we have to gobon more than one date for you to start calling me babe" I said. "Alright fine Saturday you me dinner?" He asked. "Sure" I responded.

Me and Julie felt like we were waiting forever. The boys didn't show it was 11 and the boys were supposed to be here 2 hours ago. Thats when the worst part happened i didn't even think something worse could happen. Carrie came up with Nick. "I cant tell if the crowd is getting restless or bored never a good sign." She looked at me and Julie as if astonished that we were there listening to her.

"Oh hi Y/n hi Julie, new bag?" She asked eyeing the fake hologram projector Julie had got. "Nope its the hologram projector it won't work" she said sounding angrier. Nick started looking at it trying to fix it but the problem was nothing was wrong with it Julie had been holding the cord in her hand. We were stalling but Nick ran on stage. "Guys we fixed the hologram thingy" he said making the crowd go wild. "Julie we can't go on without the boys" I said realization hitting both of us like a train. The guys had missed our first actually planned gig.

Julie nodded we both had heavy hearts as we walked on the stage. "Hi everyone even though we fixed the machine thanks to Nick we can't seem to link with the guys" I said when I said this I heard a lot of groans coming from everywhere. "We're sorry but we're going to have to cancel" I add in.

Then of course Carrie has to come in again. "Umm anyone know the heilmlich Y/n is choking" saying this a chorus of laughter erupted from the crowd. Carrie grabbed the mic out of my hands. "Only one way to save this dance. Who wants to see Dirty Candy?" After asking this a roar of applauding busted through the crowd. "Oops knob's broken" Flynn said as she was pulling it out of the dj equipment.

"Okay two can play at this game. Party at my house" she said. Since she was like a millionaire an even louder roar than before followed this one as everybody started making their way out side.

"Well that kind of backfired" Flynn said with an apologetic tone. "Don't worry about it" I said trying to wrap my head around this. I looked up to see that Jaden was coming to see me. ". . . Hey are you two okay?" He asked. ". . . Ya will be fine go have fun and party for me" I said shooing him off.
