Chapter 17: Dance???

I left my house and started towards Julie's when I got there she wasn't ready yet. Ray said I could wait in the studio, so I did. I know stupid of my Luke literally live in there and I'm supposed to be avoiding him. But I don't care.

"Well, well, well what do we have here?" Reggie said as I walked in. Luke punched him in the stomach and Alex laughed. We all stood in silence I was staring at the ground although I could feel Luke's his on me almost as if he were baiting me to look up in his perfect eyes and just stare. I didn't no matter how hard he tried I would remember that I told Julie I would try to distance myself.

After minutes of waiting Julie finally came out when she realized what she had done she immediately grabbed me said goodbye to the guys and we left. She dragged me so fast I didn't have time to say goodbye. "I am so so sorry" she said. "No worries" I told her even though I felt sweat on my face from concealing in my urge to look into Luke's eyes.

Luke's POV:

"I don't get it did I do something wrong I have been trying ot do what you guys told me get closer, but she's just pushing me away" I said trying to figure out what I did. "Maybe she just feels uncomfortable" Reggie said. "I mean she did just meet us and we are ghosts" Alex added. "Maybe. . ."

Y/n's POV:

"Hi girls!!" Flynn said walking up to us. "Oh no what did you do this time?" Julie said giggling. "There is a dance this Friday and guess who's performing there?" Flynn said practically jumping up and down. "Who?" I asked. She turned over the flyer which said "Come see Julie, Y/n, and the phantoms". "Really the phantoms?" Julie said. "Ya" Flynn said sounding hyped. "Well I think its a great idea" I added in.

After school I called my grandparents and told them that I would be at Julie's house. Me and Julie had to tell the guys about the dance. "Hiii!" I said walking into the studio throwing my bag down on the floor. "Y/n! I didn't know you were coming" Luke said from his sitting position on the couch. "Well I'm here see" I said. "Where are the others?" Julie asked coming in. "Up there" Luke said pointing to the loft. "GET DOWN HERE!!" Julie yelled. "Whats up?" Alex said poofing back down here. "Well we kind of have a gig we get to play at our school dance!" Julie said handing them the flyer. "A dance?" Luke asked sounding distraught. "Ya why?" I asked actually looking at him for the first time since the night I told Julie my feelings.

"I just think we should go bigger" he said taking this moment to look into my eyes. I quickly looked away. "Well this will be a great way to boost our chances" I said sounding sassy. "True" Reggie said pointing a finger at me while nodding his head. Luke gave him fmdeath glares making Reggie his hands up in defense.

"So can we play at it?" Julie asked. "Let's rock those kids' faces off
and then play the clubs." Luke said. "And then record a single
that gets a billion streams?" I said. Luke seemed really excited that I was looking at him and got in the moment. "I don't know what that is, but hopefully it gets us a manager and a tour." He said sounding exilerated. "Then we release a bunch of hit albums." Julie added in. "Put out a country album that does surprisingly well." Reggie said smiling like a kid in a candy store. We all looked at him like he was insane. "I shred on the banjo, so. . ." He said sounding s little disappointed. "Then I'll learn how to fiddle." I said fist bumping Reggie in the air.

"And before you know it, we're being inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame." Luke said changing the subject. "But one of us isn't there. Because we had a blowout in 2032. My money's on Alex. He's so sensitive." Reggie says making Alex have an offended sort of tone to him.
