Chapter 68

After what it seems like a whopping 30-minute escape run from the head of the restaurant non-stop, it finally come to the point where you now had lost sight of them and possibly for them to lose track of you both.

"Great job on losing track of him and them as well." You sarcastically said, eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed in front of your chest as you glared at your companion, Megumi, who had just smacked her face against a lamp post.

"Well, I'm sorry if I firstly want us to not be killed by that guy." She replied with the same amount of sarcasticness you had, glaring back at you.

"And we would not even lose track of them if you didn't start shouting at me in the first place..." She mumbled angrily as you scoffed from where you stood, still glaring at your friend.

"Oh, so now it's my fault?" You asked, leaning your back against another lamp post.

"Clearly. Wouldn't happen if you weren't so guilty at doing this. You are so confusing." She groans, pinching the bridge of her nose in a 'I am so done with you' manner.

"How could I not be guilty at doing this to someone innocent?!"

"You call someone stealing your man away from you, innocent?!" Megumi angrily shouted, growling at the end.

"Sonia didn't know that we have or had a thing!" You shouted back furiously, now facing Megumi, both of you ready to attack eachother.

The two of you continued to bicker at eachother, throwing insults and blamed one another for losing track of who you were supposed to be keeping an eye on for the whole day, Sonia and Akashi.

"Would you stop blaming me?! It's not my fault if I didn't want you to be-" Megumi stopped midsentence, taking her eyes away from your own (E/C) hues and to behind you.

Before you could even tell her to bring her attention back to you, she quickly clasped a hand against your rambling mouth, bringing you behind the cart of a random cotton candy stand, which was fortunately unattended at that time.

"Shut up and look." She muttered for you to hear, pointing at a couple in which you followed to where she was pointing at, squinting your eyes to make sure you were right on what you were seeing.

"It's-"

"Akashi and that woman of a stealer." Megumi growled quietly, her hand that was grasping your shoulder getting tighter and tighter, making you yelp.

"Ow-!"

"Shh! Be quiet, they're walking towards here."

You did what was told, removing her hand from your shoulder as you peeked from the corner of the cart, now hearing the still-happy chatter coming from Sonia herself.

"I really like going to the park, a simple location but still romantic!" You heard Sonia giggle, eyebrows unconciously twitching. By now, Megumi was literally laying on top of your back, you almost about to meet the concrete ground but both of you could careless.

Akashi did not reply, only nodded at her words as the girl continued to blabber things like how the trees look really pretty this spring, the flowers and even the fishes that were swimming aimlessly in the pond.

"That reminds me! I have a friend whose goldfish died, she was really sad and even need to be treated ice cream to lift her spirits up." Sonia told Akashi, you freezing from behind the cotton candy park.

Of course, Megumi felt how you stiffened and quickly patted your head as you both still listened on.

"Is that so? Who is this friend of yours then?" You heard Akashi ask, making you stiffen more than before, body as still like a boulder.

"Oh, her name is (F/N) (L/N)!" Sonia replied to Akashi's question as you quietly meeped while Megumi muttered an 'Oh uh' under her breath.

You examined Akashi, his expression was still the same, not even the slightest surprised look on his face at the mention of your name. He only stared down at the shorter girl for a few moments.

"Isn't she one of your classmates, Akashi-sama?" Sonia asked somehow unsure, tilting her head to the side as she awaited for the red-head to answer.

"I can smell the tension in the air even though I'm fully aware tension doesn't have a scent whatsoever." You heard Megumi mutter under her breath again, the said girl adding more weight to your back as you still continued to peek from the corner of the cotton candy cart.

You don't know the reason why, but right now, you were nervous for what he's going to say or even do upon the mention of your name. You unconciously bit your lower lip, listening so intently.

"I don't know her." 

Your eyes widened, lips in a thin line as it was Megumi's turn to stiffen. "Are you serious now?! I'm going to throw this very cart at him!" Megumi angrily muttered, drumming her fingers against your back repeatedly.

You only stayed quiet, feeling really disappointed at his answer. You were in fact, hoping he would have said something having or you both had a thing not much long ago or something.

But it really is bad to expect. Expecting things would just double the amount of sadness in you if the thing you were actually expecting wasn't met and you did blame yourself for rising your hopes up.

"Really? How come she knows a lot about you?" Sonia asked once again, curiousity and unsureness filling her voice in.

"This girl is so nosy I want to break her nose." Megumi mumbled again, now placing propping her arm on your back as you felt her arm became heavier when she placed her head on her palm.

"She's probably a stalker, along with her friend." Akashi's voice seemed louder when he said this as both of you and Megumi stiffened in place. Your eyes widened, breath hitching as you fully hid behind the cart.

"Let's go, Hoshigomu-san." You heard Akashi say, you being unable to control your own self, you peered again from the corner of the cart, making eye contact with those heterochromatic eyes of his.

You felt your heart actually even skip a beat, only for it to break when your eyes trailed down to his arm, his hand enveloping Sonia's hands.

A/N:

Before I could even forget, I just want to tell you I have a story right now in my drafts, perhaps it would be just a short one but that's not the point.

Since I can't think of someone who would be YOUR partner, it's going to be whoever you want. Any partner you want, varying from Akashi Seijuro, Midorima Shintaro, Kuroko Tetsuya, Eren Jeager, Levi Ackerman, Kou Mabuchi/Mukami etc etc, as in, ANYONE you want. It could be even that disney prince you fell inlove with as a child.

His name would be set as (Love Interest) for some odd reason but yeah.

Take note that it takes place in a modern time so yeah. Would probably publish it after this (?) It's an AU btwww.
