Chapter 26: Victory.

After Hunk asked for help from the Castle, Allura stated that they were on their way down, leaving the paladins to entertain themselves for a bit, "So how's everyone's day going?" Lance asked, breaking the awkward silence.

"It would be better if you stop getting yourself in weird, unexplainable Situations," Shiro replied, sounding exactly like a dad.

"This was not my fault!" Lance muttered offended, "Sorry, I'm not perfect," Lance said louder, pushing away from Hunk, wobbling as he moved away from the group, silencing Shiro's protest, leaving the group in silence.

"Being trapped isn't an ideal day of mine," Keith replied, "But it's better than death," Lance snorted at Keith's nonchalant shrug.

"Fighting in a space war isn't what I had planned," Pidge responded moving towards where Lance stood, "Fucking mint," Pidge responded, making Lance look at them in shocked awe.

"I got sent back in time to fight the war again,"

"Fucking mint," Pidge responded, making Lance huff out a laugh while Pidge and Hunk snorted, leaving the other three confused.

"You got blown up by a robot, twice." Hunk added.

"Fucking mint," Pidge and Lance replied.

"My family got captured by Aliens,"

"Fucking mint!" Lance and Hunk said loudly, before the trio dropped into a fit of giggles.

"I lost an arm." Shiro said quietly, but the group still heard.

"Fucking mint," Lance replied bluntly, before joining Hunk and Pidge in their cackling, making Shiro smile at group.

"What the fuck?" Keith asked quietly to himself, noticing Shay shrug at his question.

"Sorry to interrupt, whatever that was," Allura started sounding as confused as Keith and Shay felt, "But unfortunately, we cannot help, as we are currently surrounded by Galra ships and are taking heavy fire," Allura interrupted, making Lance and the others groan.

"How is it, she stills sounds so calm and unaffected when she is getting shot at?" Lance voiced, to which everyone stared blankly at Lance unimpressed.

"Allura, we'll get there as soon as we can" Shiro responded.

"Perhaps my people can help us get out." Shay said as they looked for a way out, Shay moved towards the glowing core of the Balmera, which had a few crystals growing on it thanks to Lance, laying her hand on it as she explained, "This is how we communicate. The Balmera senses our vibrations and sends a message to those in the tunnels."

"Are you sure someone will be able to hear your... hand from all the way down here?" Keith asked, sceptical at the idea, making Lance snort.

"The Balmera will deliver the message." Shay replies determinedly, Shay then goes quiet as she focuses on the message she wants to send, the area around her hands glows.The Balmera groans as I send the message to the other Balmerans.

"Ooh That's weird," Lance said, making everyone turn to look at him where he was shifting shaking his hands and arms out, "I felt that," Lance explained, "It's tingly," The others didn't know how to responded to Lance saying he could feel the message, and being super odd and as such stayed silent.

"Like earlier?" Keith asked crouching and putting his hand on the floor to see if he could feel what Lance was feeling, noticing the nod from Lance, who was poking at the crystals he was growing with his feet.

"Paladins, do you copy?" Allura's voice broke the new silence, "There's a battle cruiser locked onto us. If it fires with its ion cannon, I don't know if we can survive."
